Jean Houston on Jump Time
Tami Simon and Jean Houston discuss the nature of time and change in relation to 2012, a date that Houston finds humorous, yet important. She sees this time as a critical juncture point for humanity, which she calls "jump time," and explains that throughout human history we have dealt with many such times, but that this one may have the greatest importance of all. Our natural destiny is playing out right in front of us as we speak. We are moving from vipralambha (agony of separation) to jivanmukta (enlightenment-self-realization) and all our mental constructs (systems) are reflecting this. For example, we are moving from “germ theory of disease” using suppressive drugs which brings no cure and treats mind and body as if they have no connection (agony of separation) to “resonance theory” using homeopathic remedies from nature (not herbal)to speak to the vital force (the life giving unity) of our mind/body to heal itself (like cures like) in a whole system approach(jivanmukta). So our system of medicine is only one example. How will this vipralambha/jivanmukta shift play out in our other systems? Now that would be a wonderful conversation!
