What is your view of the year 2012 being identified as a time of unprecedented collective change and transformation?
Pick a day, any day; pick a time, any time; pick a year, a century, an epoch, and the following are true regardless:
- A well-known Chinese curse: May you live in interesting times.
- The end of the world as we know it has come.
- or from Charles Dickens, “Tale of Two Cities”:
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times,
it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness,
it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity,
it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness,
it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair,
we had everything before us, we had nothing before us,
we were all going direct to Heaven, we were all going direct the other way—in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.
I can’t say it any better. Oh, well, I might as well try:
We will make it what we wish. No invisible hand other than ours will shape it, break it, or make it. We are the time creators. Time to wake up.
In your view, what is the best way to respond to these challenging times? What can we do to align with the shift in a way that is most supportive of personal and collective evolution?
Get smart, learn, and find out how this marvelous experience we call life in the universe is happening. To do this, we need to open our minds and take heart and move toward the spiritual bridge that exists between our hopes and desires and the physical world of our existence. All will be well.
