Interviews with leading spiritual teachers and writers about their latest challenges—the "leading edge" of their work.

Oddly enough, those light beings and I also spent a lot of time together at night when I was a child. (my younger sister witnessed this activity too. My sister and I didn’t discuss it till we were adults.) So, what’s the next step? Keep going to the job? Learn what’s going on here and now no matter how __________ it is?

Another great interview with a very interesting teacher.
Every time I listen to one of these podcasts the timing is perfect, and I have been listening to many of them lately.
I was beginning to worry that my latest non-stop search for a spiritual path leading to personal transformation and connection with the divine was getting a bit obsessive, but now I think it may be caused by the sparks of a kundalini awakening.
Just a month or two ago I decided I wanted to reconnect with the teachings of Fr. Thomas Keating, and from Contemplative Outreach ended up on Sounds True, where I started listening to podcasts. Since then I have purchased the Centering Prayer Kit, signed up for the Centering Prayer online course, attended a day long Vipassana retreat with Jack Kornfield, signed up for a retreat in January with James Finley, and am supposed to be at a two day workshop with Mariana Caplan, of which I have missed the first day because of a severe cold. Hope to make it to the second half tomorrow. Last weekend I attended a Bliss meditation and yoga class, then a Kirtan and Puja on the same day. I’ve been like a hummingbird flitting from flower to flower. What I need now is to stop for a bit and find a teacher. Someone trustworthy and not disreputable.
Again, thank you for the podcasts and their teachings.

Thanks for the interview. Very interesting and timely as I just received the book “Kundalini Rising” in the mail last night. Love the book. I’ve been waiting for a book like it for years. I also recommend Gopi Krishna’s “Living with Kundalini.”

As a fellow devotee of Swami Muktananda I can verify most of what Lawrence is saying. In my experience shaktipat occurs due to the intended transmission from a Siddha guru to a willing student through the physical touch. If you have received you KNOW.
Best to not dance with Mother Shakti without the guidance and protection of an authentic master. Feel the desire for ignition? http://www.shantimandir.com
May all beings surrender to the presence and power of the Divine in every moment.
Nice to see an intelligent person researching and applying this wisdom. Thanks Lawrence and Tami.
If you are reading Tami know that Swami Muktananda blessed Chogyam Trungpa with shaktipat and you might be tasting some of this through Reggie Ray.
