Hank Wesselman: Awakening to the Spirit World
Tuesday, March 2, 2010
Tami Simon speaks with Hank Wesselman, who has a PhD in anthropology from the University of California at Berkeley, and for many years studied the origin of the human species in the Rift Valley in East Africa. He is also a student and teacher of shamanic practices and is the coauthor of the new Sounds True book Awakening to the Spirit World. Hank discusses what he calls the coming great age in which direct spiritual revelation will take precedence over any type of organized religion, and the import role that shamans hold today in connecting the dream world with present reality. Interviews with leading spiritual teachers and writers about their latest challenges—the "leading edge" of their work.

Fabulous interview, thank you Tami and Hank! I discovered the book Spiritwalker in pre-pub form in our acquisition editor’s slush pile back in the 90′s, and proceeded to DRINK IT UP, it was a fascinating read!! Sadly that publisher was not a fit for the extraordinary adventures of Hank/Spiritwalker. I found it enthralling & exhilarating. I look forward to reading the new ST book Hank coauthored with Sandy Ingerman. Love the Insights series! Gratitude~

Hank and Tami,
Awesome interview. You have spoken in words what so many of us intuit only in nebulous ways.
Hank, this book is a must-read and certainly helps to build what you call the “transformational community”.
Thank you so much.

really good interview ..a kindred soul..i like his attitude, going where most scientists dare not to go. i have had shamanic experiences since i was a child and have finally in the 2nd part of my life decided to accept it and use the transformative energy to help others.

Tami Simon is a pro at interviewing. She is gentle but cuts to the point of addressing issues to clarify our understanding and to get at the truth. This is a fascinating topic which spurs interest and skepticism. I just might buy the book. Susan

Hank teaches that meditation, tantra, and trauma are all potential doorways into vision. It sounds like his visions are very interesting.

I so enjoy these podcasts very very much. Tami, thank you so much. I have listened to this one a couple of times.
I had a thought while listening to this interview:
If people reincarnate over and over to this earth, would it also follow that the earth would reincarnate every once in a while as well?
