Description

In this workshop, recorded after the publication of her best-selling book Writing Down the Bones, Natalie presents her now-acclaimed Zen approach to writing. She offers techniques and methods that will assist you in getting down to the bones—the essential, awake speech of your mind.

Natalie's writing workshops are renowned for their ability to help writers free themselves of the internal editor, and develop the confidence to trust the writer within. This workshop is about writing, but it is also about using writing as your practice, as a way to help you penetrate your life and become sane.

The opportunity to listen to a workshop I missed and couldn't have gone to is fantastic. This has exercises and commentary on other students work, which is very useful. I lov ethe idea of writing as spiritual practice, and the instructions in this workshop to put that into action. Sometimes the conversations with the workshop participants gets in the way of the recording, but that's the nature of a workshop.

Although there was no a whole lot of extra content if you have read"Bones" what was different was to a) hear Natalie's voice - marvellous, and b) hear the stories form other aspiring writers. these invaluable extras made the whole purchase worth the money.
