A sought after musician, producer, and sound healer, Jorge has played with artists such as Astor Piazzolla, Mercedes Sosa, Richie Havens, Glen Velez, Paul Horn, Steven Halpern, and many others. An ordained metaphysical minister and student of numerous spiritual traditions, Jorge’s music is imbued with heart, vision, and sensitivity. Recently Jorge had the privilege to perform for His Holiness the Dalai Lama of Tibet. Jorge's career started at the age of 13 when a professional singer asked him to join her and play the bass on her tour. Jorge has been a professional musician ever since. While he began as an accomplished bass player, he now plays many different instruments from around the world. He specializes in flutes and string instruments.

His passion for world music has led him to work with great musicians of all traditions. He has studied at the National Conservatory "Lopez Buchardo" (Argentina), at the Mannes School of Music (New York City), and with Indian music masters G.S. Sachdev and Aashish Khan. He has also studied Japanese Zen Shakuhachi music with masters R. Nyogetsu Reishin Seldin Sensei (Ki Sui An Shakuhachi dojo in New York City) and Kurahashi Yoshio Sensei (Mujuan dojo in Kyoto).

Jorge is also one of New York City's most versatile session players. As well as those listed above, other notable artists with whom he has worked include: Jorge Dalto, Peter Erskine and Robert Thomas Jr. (from Weather Report), Amit Chatterjee, Aashish Khan, Nyogetsu Seldin, Nexus, Trichy Sankaran, Roberto Perera, Omar Faruk Tekbilek, Laraaji, Guillherme Franco, Randy Crafton, Bridges, Badal Roy, Leon Gieco, Alejandro Lerner, Jose Jose, Yaya Diallo, Beaver Chief, Fushu Daiko and many others. As a soloist, Jorge has recorded many CDs of world music, both as a player and a producer.

Parallel to his career as a musician and particularly after the death of his father, Jorge started his own spiritual quest. Jorge has studied in many different spiritual disciplines, from yoga to Buddhism, from Gurdieff groups to Sufism, from Andean teacher of Peru and Argentina to the Mapuche, from the Theosophical Society to Hermeticism and kabbala. Jorge has become an ordained metaphysical minister with degrees in Metaphysical Science, Pastoral Counseling, Chemical Dependency, and Clinical Hypnotherapy.

Jorge has worked with many different indigenous peoples and recorded their music. His spiritual work includes the music and the teachings of the spiritual elders of the world. He also remains active as a private counselor.
