On Sacred Sounds, Jorge Alfano draws upon the healing-music traditions of five ancient cultures: the chakra-based meditations of Hinduism; Chinese Taoist practices; Japanese Zen meditation from the Kinko school of Osaka; Native American Sioux shamanistic beliefs; and Inti meditation, a pre-Incan Andean system. Using indigenous flutes from each tradition, Alfano creates entrancing music that can serve as a guide to relaxation, meditation, and physical and spiritual well-being.
Born in Argentina, Jorge Alfano is a master flautist, ordained metaphysical minister, and clinical hypnotherapist.
"Sweet and meditative, Jorge's improvisations are varied, yet integrated, in that they all come back to the same peaceful spirit."
