One stroke of luck is the accent of his voice. I'm from the MidWest and his mild, yet not "sappy," voice and dialogue are familiar from my childhood when neighborhood "uncles" and mentors would counsel, correct, or teach us. His style promotes a relaxed sense of safety and risk taking akin to musical selections. The message gets through with his clarity. Effective.

I have tried other guided anxiety programs and found this to be simple and effective. I recomend.

Dr. Rossman is an excellent relaxation guide, with a
hypnotic voice that is soothing and doesn't seem
contrived. I thought his earlier CD, Pain Relief
was more comprehensive and helpful, but Anxiety Relief is also quite useful.

Session1 is one of the most effective deep relaxation sessions I've used and is the foundation for the other 2 sessions. Session 2, guided imagery, didn't do much 4 me. Session 3, visualization, - I keep falling asleep during this, don't know if it's doing me any good.
