I love this recording and listen to it everyday. It is a wonderful recording and I cherish it. He does the best induction to breathing that I have ever heard. He is "Present" in it.

This program has affected me more deeply than anything else I've ever read or listened to. TNH seems so simple and mellow upon first listening ("Breathing in I say Yes, Breathing out I say Thank You") but under the scabbard is a brilliant and passionate Zen scholar and poet, on fire with clarity and compassion. I heard CD2 ("cassette #2" back then) in a very arid period my life and it was like a drink of cool, sweet water. I've listened to the whole program at least a dozen times. This "simple monk" has my greatest, heartfelt appreciation. - AY
