I listened to the cds on a road trip. Dr. Lad is an absolute joy to listen to... i found myself engrossed in the presentation, and by the end, ready to learn more about ayurveda.

This series of lectures is a very good introduction to Ayurveda. Dr. Lad is lucid and well-organized in his explanations.
The first four audio recordings give a very comprehensive overview of Ayurveda that improved my comprehension of it greatly.
The fifth audio recording is on relationships. I couldn't really comprehend what Lad was saying for the first 40 minutes but the remaining 20 minutes were insightful. (I'm not great at relationships).
The sixth recording is an excellent one on the Ayurvedic perspective of: conception, pregnancy, and post-birth advice. This one section alone may be worth the $19 I paid for these recordings (digital download).
If you're looking for advice on bumps, bruises, headaches, colds... you're better off with Lad's Ayurvedic Book of Home Remedies. If you want an excellent, comprehensive overview of Ayurveda; some relationship advice; and excellent pregancy advice. This audio series is definitely for you.
