Senior Internet Marketer

This is a senior marketing position. In this role, you will be focused on not only delivering the final product, but helping develop the execution plan—including funnel structure, opt-in email capture, marketing video creation, advertising, email, marketing, and nurture strategy. You will contribute to the development of launch processes with a goal of constantly improving process and efficiencies. You will ensure that the launches are on track and will be responsible for effective and timely execution.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Contribute overall content marketing strategy while owning execution

  • Communicate effectively with all layers of the organization to drive successful launches
  • Execute launch plan including funnel structure, email plan, opt-ins, and social targeting

Requirements/Preferences:

  • Experience and knowledge of funnels marketing launch strategy (e.g. methodologies taught by Jeff Walker, Eben Pagan, Russell Brunson, and Digital Marketer)
  • Stellar overall marketing knowledge and experience
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities and execute results within designated timeframes
  • Ability to take big picture view while executing and managing details
  • Previous experience in managing the work output of other team members and service providers to deliver tasks on time

Social Media Community Manager

The Social Media Manager is responsible for moderating the online forums related to Sounds True, as well as for creating advertisements for customer acquisitions. The Manager’s primary role is to engage with the virtual Sounds True community and provide value to the customers experience.

Main Responsibilities

  • Monitoring, responding to, and tracking comments and messages on social media channels
  • Creating, maintaining, and updating content schedules

Online Course Production Administrator

Sounds True, a spiritually based multimedia publishing company, seeks a full-time Online Course Production Administrator to join our creative division. As production administrator, this person will join a traffic management team to assist the production process for all online courses and events. This role is part of a fast-paced and fast-growing division of Sounds True that requires a strong work ethic, ability to juggle multiple projects, and attention to detail to succeed.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Tracking receipt and delivery of presentation materials
  • Attending weekly production meetings
  • Live broadcast preparation (drafting and routing scripts, organizing host questions, confirming and distributing broadcast details)

Administrative Assistant

Sounds True, a multimedia publisher specializing in spirituality and holistic living, is seeking an Administrative Assistant (30–40 hours a week, Monday through Friday). This position works with the Executive Assistant to provide professional administrative support to a five-person executive team.

Duties include: heavy administrative support for the executive team at Sounds True; coordinating travel for authors and executives; assisting with projects such as online research, filing, mailing, managing spreadsheets, submitting expense reports, and processing check requests and invoices; grocery shopping; lunch pickup; miscellaneous errands; maintaining the facilities tracking doc; small facilities projects; and other tasks as assigned.

The candidate must be flexible, friendly, organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office—especially Outlook and Excel—and Gmail/Google Docs is required. The ideal candidate will be available from 9:00am–3:30/4:00pm and have a connection to the mission of Sounds True.

Foreign and Subsidiary Rights Manager

Sounds True, a multimedia publisher specializing in spirituality and holistic living, is seeking a professional, detail-oriented, and energetic Rights Manager to join our fast-paced trade sales department. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of foreign and subsidiary rights for the Sounds True lists.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as day-to-day contact for all licensing deals across all product types: audio, books, music, and online courses
  • Pitch titles to prospective licensees (foreign and domestic) and respond to all licensing inquiries
  • Create rights guides seasonally
  • Negotiate deal terms, create contracts, and ensure full execution
  • Work closely with finance to reconcile statements, payments, and invoices
  • Create monthly newsletter
  • Organize foreign rights library
  • Maintain rights database
  • Research and identify new business opportunities

Director of Sounds True's Professional (Psychotherapy/Therapist) Division

Sounds True, a multimedia publisher based in Boulder, Colorado, is seeking a Director of our Professional Division to help us bring leading-edge psychotherapy training to a growing worldwide audience. This is a part-time, contract position with flexible hours, requiring approximately 8–10 hours per week (on average).

We are looking for someone who both has clinical experience as a practicing psychotherapist and a passion for introducing people to leading-edge online training opportunities. You must be a trained psychotherapist, an excellent writer and communicator, and be comfortable speaking and conducting interviews in front of a camera. The ideal candidate lives in the Boulder/Denver area has interest and experience in online marketing.

Email Designer/Coder

This candidate should be extremely detail-oriented, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to communicate clearly and effectively cross-functionally. The right candidate is a resourceful multi-tasker who loves coding emails. This is a full-time, on-site position that reports to the Email Marketing Manager and works alongside a team of designers, developers, analysts, and launch coordinators/managers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build responsive emails in Bronto (our ESP)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve rendering issues in email code
  • Schedule/send emails in Bronto based on our master schedule (in Smartsheet) to the specified audience (multiple substantial lists and segments)
  • Communicate effectively and work closely with stakeholders, marketing team, and QA
  • Prioritize workload to meet daily deadlines in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Managing Proofreader

Sounds True, an independently owned multimedia publishing company specializing in spirituality and holistic living, is looking for an experienced proofreader with management skills to lead our proofreading department on a thirty-hour per week basis in our Louisville, Colorado office.

Our proofreading team is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and quality of all marketing copy for consumers and trade buyers, as well as much of the content of our online courses and other written material. The managing proofreader will be the leader of this team, the holder of our proofing standards and processes, and our primary guardian of accuracy.

The managing proofreader will:

  • Oversee daily proofreading tasks and manage long-term workflow for the proofing team
  • Oversee hiring, management, and training of proofreading staff
  • Act as steward for the Sounds True brand through management of house style guide
  • Oversee the archival of all direct and B2B marketing copy
  • Maintain the accuracy of title metadata and other product information
  • Collaborate with other department managers to create and uphold processes and best practices
  • Support proofreading efforts: review print and online marketing materials and other content for audio programs, books, online courses, transcripts, and live events, with reference to both The Chicago Manual of Style and our house style

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3–5 years of professional proofreading experience preferably in the publishing industry
  • At least 1–2 years of management experience
  • Experience with both print and online media
  • Interest in Sounds True’s materials and mission
  • A team-first attitude and skill in working with multiple departments in an organization
  • Familiarity with The Chicago Manual of Style
  • Knowledge of Google Docs and MS Office
