Linux/Web Systems Administrator:

Sounds True, a multi-media publisher in Louisville, CO specializing in spirituality and holistic living seeks an experienced systems administrator to support our web team and ecommerce site. The Linux Systems Administrator works with PHP developers, database administrator, and other web team members to plan and deliver secure, scalable, and highly-available web applications. Sounds True will consider candidates interested in either employee or contract status, and preferably someone who can work on-site at least some of the time.

Candidate must have the following experience:

  • Amazon Web Services server set-up and configuration; especially helpful are experience with OpsWorks, Redis caching, Varnish caching, EC2 instances, EBS storage, S3 storage, and Cloudfront CDN, Amazon SES email
  • LAMP environment maintenance and support, especially strong Linux and Apache administration skills
  • Web-facing security practices including AWS firewall management & SSL certificates
  • Environments based on proxy server / web server / database server architecture
  • Monitoring tools, especially Nagios and New Relic
  • Shell scripting, such as managing application deployments and data backups

Additional experience with the following is a plus:

  • Optimizing ecommerce performance, especially with Magento Enterprise
  • Maintaining integration, staging and production environments and deployment / management automation
  • Wordpress administration and web hosting account configuration
  • Subversion and Git repository administration
  • DNS management
  • Puppet server management
  • Apache ModSecurity
  • CentOS/RedHat, yum
  • Amazon RDS

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. / B.A. degree preferred

Analyst of Ecommerce Marketing – SMM/SEM

Sounds True, a multimedia publisher specializing in spirituality and holistic living, is seeking an Analyst of Ecommerce Marketing to join our team. This individual will drive the acquisition of qualified traffic and email opt-in conversions for SoundsTrue.com web properties through search engine and social media marketing. This person will report to the VP of Ecommerce and coordinate with merchandising and other analysts to launch and optimize marketing campaigns for product launches, seasonal events, and on-site conversion. In addition, this individual will prepare and share program reporting with relevant stakeholders.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Drive Performance-Based Social Media Advertising programs

  • Develop and launch campaigns for social media including Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and additional opportunities as they become available
  • Assist in writing ads and selecting high-converting images for online ads
  • Achieve campaign performance targets by platform utilizing ad testing and campaign targeting
  • Coordinate with online course launches to drive prospect acquisition through various incentives and giveaways leading to email opt-in
  • Provide support for relevant messaging for the initial email sequences immediately after opt-in for new Sounds True subscribers

Drive Performance-Based Search Engine Marketing (SEM) programs

  • Achieve SEM goals such as spend, traffic, and conversion targets across multiple search platforms such as Google AdWords and Bing
  • Drive PLA targeting, optimization, and conversion
  • Optimize campaigns using best practices and testing including ad copy tests, day parting, and geo-targeting
  • Maintain Google & Bing Merchant Center feeds and monitor feed status
  • Coordinate with online course launches to drive prospect acquisition
  • Provide reporting related to PPC programs (e.g., dashboards), document internal practices, and recommend modifications
  • Provides general support to the Internet Marketing team on an as-needed basis
  • Participate in product launch & seasonal marketing plans
  • Research and report on competitor rankings and positioning and suggest strategies of what is working best
  • Assist with affiliate marketing efforts

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • 2-3 years of Internet Marketing experience, preferably in Search Engine Marketing and/or Social Media Marketing
  • Knowledge of Facebook Ad Manager platform and experience running and testing campaigns
  • Google Analytics and/or Google AdWords Certification a plus

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong communication skills with individuals at all levels within the organization
  • Knowledge of the Internet and current technologies including Woobox, Leadpages, and Clickfunnels
  • Strong analytical skills, extreme detail orientation, ability to multi-task, excellent organizational and problem solving skills
  • Experience using vendor tools such as Google Analytics, AdWords, Bing, Facebook Power Editor, Google Merchant Center, and Pinterest Ads

Production Coordinator:

Sounds True, a spiritually based, multimedia publishing company, seeks a production coordinator to join our creative division. As production coordinator, this person will join a traffic management team to oversee the production process for new products and catalogs, as well as supporting the art, copy, book, marketing, and A/V teams.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Setting and tracking detailed schedules for every job
  • Attending weekly production meetings
  • Database entry
  • Asset tracking and routing
  • Meeting coordination
  • Author communication
  • Inter-department communication
  • Live and/or online event assistance as needed
  • Editorial and administrative duties as assigned

The ideal candidate:
