Review for Giving Thanks

I was totally floored by this concise, practical, easy to listen too and understandable CD. I have played it over and over, especially when I am losing touch with my own inner happiness (i.e. having a bad day). She is very inspiring and really teaches the basic principal of giving thanks to yourself. Do that and the rest will follow.

What began as useful framing and appreciable guidance crumbled into disbelief when 'Bad" got included. What century does this woman come from? I was surprised by Sounds True including such questionable materials being offered

Review for Giving Thanks

This download is wonderful medicine for a cold, dark winter moving in. I listen to it often. Iyanla's rich voice and solid wisdom communicate a healing kindness that cultivates self-compassion. A novel aspect of her approach to giving thanks is that not only do we give thanks to and for others and the Divine, but we give thanks also to AND for ourselves for what we have learned, given, and come through. I am giving thanks for this wise woman!

Review for Giving Thanks

Very sincere and heartfelt, but not exactly right for the place I was. Very basic, as for one thinking about being grateful for the very first time.

Review for Giving Thanks

The content is good, but only half of it was made available for MP3 download... I had to download the AAC format and then convert it into MP3 myself. Which was a tad bit annoying. But the program itself is quite good. Helps put you in a grateful state of mind.
