Course objectives:

  • Identify the four steps of the Nonviolent Communication process.
  • Employ the four-step Nonviolent Communication process in every dialogue you engage in.
  • Utilize empathy to safely confront anger, fear and other powerful emotions.
  • Discover how to overcome the blocks to compassion, and open to our natural desire to enrich the lives of those around us.

You're about to have an uncomfortable meeting with your boss. The principal just called about your middle-schooler. You had a fight with your partner and it's an hour before bed.

You know your next move will go a long way toward defining your relationships with these individuals. So what do you do?

We all find ourselves in situations similar to these, and too often resort to the same old patterns of behavior—defending our need to be right, refusing to really listen, speaking cruelly out of anger and frustration, or worse.

But there is another way—thanks to the pioneering efforts of Dr. Marshall Rosenberg, whose remarkable process of Nonviolent Communication has gained worldwide recognition as a tool for turning even the most volatile situations into a natural interchange of compassion, generosity, and mutual enrichment.

What You Will Receive:

  • More than 10 hours of immersive instruction in NVC, including nine audio sessions with Marshall Rosenberg and a video Q&A session with certified instructor John Kinyon
  • An in-depth online workbook with practical exercises to strengthen your ability to use Nonviolent Communication "in the field"

The Only Online Training Course with the Founder of Nonviolent Communication

Modeled after this visionary peacemaker's nine-day international intensive retreats, The Nonviolent Communication Online Training Course invites you to join Marshall Rosenberg himself to learn the essentials of NVC—a set of skills you will learn to successfully apply whether you're in the office, at the dinner table, or engaging members of your community—any time you want to honor "what is alive" in yourself and others.

A Nine-Part Interactive Workshop to Transform Your Relationships

Our words have the power to create profound healing—or incredible suffering—yet even with the best intentions, it can be difficult to express yourself in ways that build harmony and trust.

For more than 40 years, Marshall Rosenberg has helped people peacefully resolve conflicts in families, schools, businesses, and governments in 30 countries on 5 continents. Now, you can join this renowned teacher and discover a proven method for reaching accord, even in seemingly "impossible" situations.

With The Nonviolent Communication Online Training Course, you will receive:

  • More than 10 hours of immersive instruction in NVC, including nine audio sessions with Marshall Rosenberg and a video Q&A session with certified instructor John Kinyon
  • An in-depth online workbook with practical exercises to strengthen your ability to use Nonviolent Communication "in the field"

I was surprised that it was an online course, for I was looking for a mailed package. The online course is wonderful! The pacing is good and the "homework" excellent for the student to synthesize and then verbalize.

I absolutely love this program. It is so much more than what I expected. I love how slowly Marshall Rosenburg speaks because it enhances the experience of listening to what he is really saying. This has already helped me so much with my relationships with others and with myself. I never realized how my anger was a sign of my own deep needs not being met. Now I can stop judging myself. I am filled with gratitude for these teachings. :-)

I have not figured out how to work with this. I was hoping to download exercises and do this on my MacBook
Not sure if I can do this. It will be limiting if restricted to on-line access only.
I have done nothing yet.

This was such a great opportunity to receive the training from Marshall Rosenberg himself. The live sessions were incredibly helpful, even though I did not personally call in a question. It should be equally valuable for those who download it now.

This is hard work. Marshall Rosenberg has taught many more stubborn than I. I keep listening to his gentle, slow instruction and hope for a miracle. This is a course that I am taking after the fact. It is laid out in manageable bits, allows for note taking, has active and passive interludes. But don't let me fool myself, the real work is mine. He is offering guidance, so much gentle guidance.

From the beginning, I tried to do the notes and answer questions on the page included in the course. Very little of it was saved, and none of it was editable. Finally, I was informed to put it into word/pages(Apple) and have it now on the desk top.
I value the audios of Dr. Rosenberg and will have them to refer to in the future as I review the information.
I also appreciated the moderator for the interactive sessions. She was able to help Dr. Rosenberg focus on the subject of the questions.
Thank you for this opportunity to take this class. My hope is to find someone willing to practice with me in my learnings.

What I love about this course is his elgantly simple teaching on the radical transformation of language. And, his direction on breaking with the civilized violence within our culture which we take for granted.
