more from Cynthia Bourgeault:
Thank you Cynthia and Tami for such an interesting talk. I am interested also in this damnation of ego in our culture. To me the true ego is connected to heart and mind, and offers us the ‘drive ‘ to get up and ‘do ‘ in life. I think there needs to be finer definition given and understood as to underlying motives as to how we judge ego. Does the ‘driving force’ behind our motivation belong to to true self- or false self? It it belongs to the true self with ‘good’ motivation behind it – or unseen force of loving otive- then surely this is a ‘good’ ego energy. I believe we have become far too persuaded by dualist – black or white – good or bad in our judgements. I really enjoyed the last segment in particular with the liturgy to surrender from the desires of false self – as a learning pathway. Thank you again.

Cynthia was very forthright explaining her understanding and evolving of Christian concept, it was refreshing I have wrestled with the belief the way it normally has been presented through all my life from family members and churches. Thank again I can see the continual evolving of the faith on a true universal plain that includes all aspect of life and being.

I am a recovering Catholic and have read Cynthia’s books. To hear her in the interview was a delight but more important, she inspires me to live and be transformed by love in her theological sharing. Thank you so much for this inspiring interview. Susan
