Judith Blackstone: Embodied Realization
Monday, October 10, 2011
Tami Simon speaks with Dr. Judith Blackstone, a licensed clinical psychotherapist in New York and an innovative teacher in contemporary spirituality. With Sounds True, she has published a book called The Intimate Life: Awakening to the Spiritual Essence in Yourself and Others, and a six-session audio learning course called The Realization Process: A Step-by-Step Guide to Embodied Spiritual Awakening, in which she teaches her powerful method for attuning to fundamental (or non-dual) consciousness. In this episode, Tami has an illuminating conversation with Judith about two introductory ways of tapping into fundamental consciousness, how we can relate to others “core to core,” and the role of the body in the fullness of realization. This is a great interview! Thank you very much! J.Blackstone gives very practical insights and assistance. For me what she is talking about deepens the teaching of Eckhart Tolle.

Wonderful. I love that the Sounds True interviews lately have been, for me, more and more real… that is, the teachings seem to be connecting more fully the embodied life with the spiritual life. I’m glad to know about Judith Blackstone’s work.

Oh the ease of awakening! The letting go, the surrender! Judith brings us all of it, taking us out of our head and into Consciousness. What a difference between hearing an awakened person than listening to a person who is speaking from the head but claiming it to be from the heart as I find from so many “spiritual” teachers,even the well known ones. Judith & Adya you have you have changed my life and assisted me into that seamless Void. I have come to realize that it is the awakened persons who we must listen to, and they are appearing in numbers, they will assist us into our own awakening bringing us past the level of just feeling good or blissful which we might think is enlightenment.
Thank you Sounds True for presenting us with a person who has made the shift.

AAH the ease of awakening! Judith brings it to us. Core to core unity. What a difference listening to one who is speaking from the place of Consciousness. There are many teachers but few who are truly coming from “that place” leading us into the Great Void of Consciousness and who are able to be the vessel transporting us into Truth. Judith brings one into that place through the transparency of her own enlightenment. Listen to the enlightened ones they will bring you beyond the sincere but feel good teachings of so many who have not yet come to this place of truly knowing. Sitting with Adyashanti changed my life and now here is Judith along with a growing amount of others who will lead us to enlightenment.
Thank you Sounds True for bringing her to us.

Excellent dialogue. Love Judith’s pointing out the importance of not just meditating always on one area of our body (e.g. top of head or heart) but rather be more balanced by including all of them. This makes us more fully open and aware and will address potential shadows and constrictions.

Judith shared some useful teachings;
• If we are with someone we love we are always already connecting; subtle core to subtle core and causal core to causal core. It may be good to be aware of this.
• It is good to inhabit all parts of our body and beyond.
• A realized person is permeable, open, and lively.
Thanks

Listen to the first 5 minutes. It doesn’t get any more interesting nor does she stop rambling the whole time. I was very disappointed.
