Mr. Neil,
I am an Assyrian who speaks 3 languages, Assyrian ( my original language ), Arabic, and English.
Iam sorry to say that whom ever translate these Aramaic words for you he’s dead wrong.
for example:
1: you are saying that the word “Rokha” ( ܪܘܼܚܵܐ), means Breath, That’s wrong, “Nishmah” ( ܢܸܫܡܵܐ ) means breath, ” Rokha ” means ” Rooh ” ( روح ) in Arabic and Spirit in English.
2: You are saying that there’s no ” Am ” in Aramaic, for example when Jesus said ” I am the way, the truth and the life “.
In the new Aramaic which all Assyrian speaks, there’s a word for ” Am ” which is “Ewin ” ( ܝܘܹܢ ), and in the Churche’s books ( The old Aeamaic ) ” Na ” ( ܐ̃ܢܵܐ ), which the first Alap ( an A ) is a silent letter because there’s a slash on top of it,
So when i as an Assyrian say ( ܐܵܢܵܐ ܝܘܹܢ ) or ( ܐܸܢܵܐ ܐ̃ܢܵܐ , in the old Aramaic ), that means ” I am ” in English.
So please next time you do your research about the the Assyrian Aramaic language try to get the help you need from any Assyrian churches which are spread all over the world with the guideness of his holliness Mar Dinkha.
If you have any questions or concerns don’t hesitate to contact me with the above email.

Thank you so much for this interview. I listened to it and read the transcript 2 times. Everything Neil is sharing resonates with where my heart has been going these past 10 years and how I’ve been leading others into prayers. To understand more fully the broader meaning of scriptures and words of Jesus deeply inspires me in my song-writing/poetry/prayers. thank you.
