Reverend Deborah Johnson: Letters from the Infinite
Tuesday, June 26, 2012
Tami Simon speaks with Reverend Deborah Johnson, the founder and president of Inner Light Ministries, an omnifaith spiritual community of more than 1,500 people in northern California. Rev. Deborah is a tireless voice for compassion, equality, coalition building, and forward-thinking public policy. With Sounds True, she has authored two volumes of the Letters from the Infinite series, titled The Sacred Yes and Your Deepest Intent. In this episode, Tami speaks with Deborah about the extraordinary “divine download” that resulted in her two books, how we can purify our intent, the importance of sincerity in spiritual unfolding, and how we might each receive our own letters from the infinite. more from Reverend Deborah Johnson:
Thank you Rev. Deb and Tammy for this wonderful interview. I found it very soulful and intimate. I find the spiritual journey is both a unique, intimate, one on one connection with the divine and at the same time a macro interconnection with every particle of the Universe.

I really loved this interview. It taught me a lot. Tami Simon’s good questions too! Being a Christian myself I truly believe in the Divine Download as God longs to speak to His creation (if we would take the time to listen). The Ancient Scriptures says: Draw Near To Me and I will Draw Near to you”. I am not surprised that her materials don’t sell as much, as people do not want to hear about “God or the Divine” – I think Rev Deb could have compromised her message and said I got this message from “The Universe”, “The Source”, watered it down, and yes she could have sold a lot. I think her “integrity” and “sincerity” to spread this message in its true form from the Divine is a mandate from God and I am so glad she obeyed! I loved her answer about the difference between “channeling” and hearing directly from the “Divine” . I can say a loud “AMEN” to that as if we are not careful – we can be picking up messages from the wrong source and think it is God!
Thank you True Sounds for this website – it has resources for all walks of life! I am going to be ordering Rev Deb’s resources!

Greetings Beloveds!
I am happy to be introduced to Reverend Deborah Johnson, for it is rare to see offerings from Sounds True highlighting women of color authors.
As I finish my credentialing for ministry in the Unitarian Universalist faith tradition, I seek metaphysical, mystical, womanist theological perspectives.
Thanks to all for creating this opportunity to share in Rev. Johnson’s insights.
Sounds True, would you be willing to incorporate more women of color authors in your offerings such as Vandana Shiva, Dr. Wangari Maathai, and Rigoberta Manchu?
Shalom, ase’, wicosani, and namaste!!!
