E140: God Wants to Experience It All—Will You Let Him?

Michael Singer: Jai guru dev, jai masters. We use words sometimes in our language to very, very different meaning, but they have the same core. For example, there’s a word, you know something about called stress. If you do mechanical engineering and you’re working with I-beams and structural members, there’s also a word called stress.

Well, what is stress in that world? Stress is that if two forces are in opposition to each other, they put stress on each other. One force is pushing down, the other force is pushing up or trying to hold, and they can measure the amount of stress that’s created. Obviously, I don’t wanna have talk about mechanical engineering or building.

I used to be a builder, but I’m interested in how you use stress. People feel stress. People feel stress. What is that internal stress? It is exactly the same as external stress. Two opposing forces are pushing against each other. And it will create stress, period. It can create stress in the body because stress is inherited by, the force is pushing down.

It’s not just what it’s pushing against. It feels it everything below it. It feels a tendency to push down the air, to compress. It passes through. If you feel stress and your body tightens up, it’s due to this pressure that’s opposing two forces. So people talk about, I don’t wanna feel stressed, I feel stressed.

What do I do? They should talk about what are the opposing forces? What are the forces that are pushing against each other to create this stress? Well, now you’re getting into yoga, now you’re getting into deeper things. What are the forces? Well, there’s only so many forces in the universe. One is there outside events that take place.

Nothing you can do about that. They do. They take place and they come in. What comes in? The event comes in, the person comes in, the animal comes in, the car comes in. No, they do not come in. They stay out there, but their effect, the vibration gets picked up. By your senses and it passes into your inner world.

Well, your inner world’s made of energy. There’s nothing in there. There’s just energy. I don’t talk about your organs. I’m talking about your psychological inner world. It comes in and you experience it. Well, believe it or not. That is not stressful ’cause there’s no opposing force. There’s all kinds of things that you experience in your life.

I always use the example of white lines in the road. Sometimes they’re yellow. Does that stress you out? Sometimes they’re dashed or dotted. That must get to you. Sometimes they’re double. Oh my God, I go to freak. You don’t. They’re just, they came in the same as anything else, but they passed through. Why?

Because there was no opposing force. There was no opposing force. Well, what’s the opposing force? You, you who experiences is what came in the consciousness, the seed of being of awareness somehow, and we can talk about it, it’s very deep, resists what came in. That’s the opposing force. Life is the force of creation.

It comes in, it’s everywhere, every planet, every moon, every single galaxy, and all, every dot on earth. There is something going on. It’s just not coming into you, coming into her, coming to him, but you only stress out what’s coming into you, including if you care about him that. Is an opposing force inside of you that when the event happens, you oppose that.

So I don’t think it’s just about you, literally, it’s about you psychologically, mentally, emotionally, you have this experience. You resist it. It’s about resistance. That’s what happens with the IBMs. They have this strength, but a force, building force, whatever. By the force of the weight of the building, it pushes and it resists.

It doesn’t want to go down, so it resists and sometimes it bends. Anyways, those are the opposing forces. There are opposing forces. I’ve now described what the opposing forces are inside. They are the energy of the universe. The world in front of you. Coming in to your inner being. You have an inner being and that’s not what your organs, like I said, you’re in there.

Hello. It comes in and you in there experience what comes in if you let it go through. There is no stress. No stress, no matter what happens. I’m not telling you you are that way. I’m not even saying maybe we can be that way. I’m just telling you, if there is no opposing force, there is no stress. Okay? But there is opposing force.

What is opposing force? I’m gonna talk about two of them. Two of the cause of opposing force. What are the causes? Why? Do I not just let it pass through that the clouds pass through, that the cars driving by pass through. I let 99% of everything that ever came in your sense passed right through. Do you understand that?

And basically there it is. So what causes the assertion of the opposing force take steep? But I’m telling you, it is one of two things, and you’ll find out soon they’re the same fear and desire. If there was no fear. If there was no desire, we’ll talk what those are. We’ll get into it. If there was no fear and there was no desire, there’s no reason inside of you to oppose or clinging or do anything that creates stress.

It just comes in and passes through. And you know that, ’cause I told you some words between, I usually say 95% people yell at me. I say 99%. It’s 99%. 99% of every single thing that came through your senses. Passes right through. Okay. I, I use the example here. I’m gonna drop a snake in the room. A giant rattlesnake, 10 feet, 12, 15 feet long.

You freak out why you oppose it. You have fear. Okay, what about everything else is going in the room at the same time. The pictures, the wood, the knots in the same, whoa, whoa. Wait a minute. You’re stressing out over those? No, only that which you are afraid of. So you oppose it that you opposing force or you are desirous of.

And those are deep, deep words. We’ll talk about ’em that you’re desirous of. So you do a boost called clingy. You either resist and that causes stress or you cling and that causes stress. ’cause that’s an opposing force. Well why is an opposing force if I like it? ’cause you try to hold onto it and that’s what creates the stress.

  1. Something happened that you really liked. You want it to happen again. Yet ift, it’s not happening again. You’ve held onto something. The key is it didn’t make it through. If it makes it through, there’s no stress. But there has to be an opposing force that’s making it not pass through. You are either letting it not pass through ’cause you’re afraid of it.

You push it away. I don’t like it. You do it every minute. Every minute, but close of your life. You are in there manipulating what came in to make it fit, to make it so you’re not afraid of it, et cetera. You are in there. Do you ever feel stuff come back up there? We have proof. Has anything ever happened in your life that’s still in there even though it’s not happening anymore?

Well that means you held it in there because it ain’t stand in there. It didn’t happen. It’s over. It came in, passed through to here. Now whoop gone. No stress. But if indeed, when it comes in me in here. The consciousness, the awareness of being, doesn’t want to experience it. The way I explained it is have you had moments in your life?

Very few, but have you had moments in your life where what came in was so beautiful, so beautiful, that it blew you away, that you weren’t there, you just merged. He said things like, it touched me to the depth of my being. I felt like within the presence of God, the sunset was so beautiful that he hugged me, whatever.

Not often. Okay, but it has happened. What does that mean? Nobody resisted it. It did touch the depth of your being, which is you in there. It came all the way in and you melted into it, and it melted into you. Yogis talk about rivers. All the rivers and streams of the world poured into the ocean. The ocean doesn’t overflow, and they don’t resist it just.

Merges as a merger means it merges well inside of you. There is that state. The state of non-resistance, the state of acceptance, the state of surrender, that’s all those words deep inside mean. The same. Surrender doesn’t mean let anything happen. Whatever’s happening outside. You misunderstood. If I taught that and you got that wrong, I always tell you the example.

If a drug dealer comes up to you and says, Hey man, you want some drugs? Well make said to surrender. No, that’s not the surrender we’re talking about. Surrender. We’re talking about is this non-resistance. It’s way in here. When you tend to push it away, you’re going to create stress. That’s what it does.

That’s the opposing force. So you let go, you surrender, you accept. Okay, this took place. We’ll talk deeper about. What happens after that? But I’m talking about can you let it go? Can it come in without resisting it? So one was fear. You resist the fear. The other is the same force, which is, no, I experienced it and I love it.

It is beautiful. No, I don’t want to resist it. I want to clinging to. Same thing. You’re creating stress. It’s trying to pass, you’re holding onto it. Please get this. That’s why they’re the same emerge. So if you are trying to cling to it, to hold onto it, which I mean, I’m not gonna let it pass through, but it’s trying to pass through, but I’m not gonna let it.

Why? ’cause you’re afraid of it? No, I’m not afraid of it. I want it to happen again. So you clinging to it. Have you ever noticed that if something happens that you really like. You basically do the same thing inside as you did If you don’t like it. If I don’t like it, I push it away. If I do like it, I hold onto it.

Both create stress, so if you want something, you’re not getting it, you’re gonna end up in the same spot inside of yourself as if you don’t want something and you’re getting it. It will create stress, it will create tension. It will create non-well being. Okay. Let’s say you really see somebody, you really love them to people.

My God, seeing them was so important. It just blew you away. Okay? Okay. Isn’t that wonderful? You beautiful experience. You’re never gonna have it again. You never see them again. Oh, same event. We call those negative and positive samskara. A negative samskara means something came as you didn’t like. I would, I would kid you and play with you saying, well, why don’t you just go ahead and keep everything you don’t like?

It’s stored inside of you to go bother you for the rest of your life. That’s what you do. That’s the suppression, repression, denial. Resistance is, is I’m not gonna let this pass through ’cause I don’t like it. Well, your alternative is to keep it. I will. I been in there since of a child. I don’t like what mother did when the father did.

I don’t like this happened. I don’t like my first girlfriend or boyfriend did. And it comes back up, doesn’t it? Why does it come back up? Because you held it in there. If you hold it in there, it’s going to stay there. How do you know? ’cause when it tries to come back up, you push it back down. Yes or no? Do you push back down things you don’t wanna experience Again, they’re just storing them, so they’re gonna stay there.

If something you really like, that’s a positive score. It comes in, oh, you really like it, do you? Do you not want it to happen again? Of course you do. So what do you do? You try to make it happen again. You hold onto it. It wasn’t be here now. It passed through. No, it didn’t pass through. I kept it. I remembered her and I wanna see her again and, and blah, blah, blah.

Oh, I had this amazing meal. I wanna go back to that restaurant. And you’re stressing out till you can and you try to bring, it just stays there. And because it’s staying there and not happening outside, it’s not happening outside. Again, you’re trying to make it happen outside again. And that creates stress.

Never gonna get that. So there’s two forces that you in there, the self. It really comes from your consciousness that instead of letting it come and all the rivers pour into the ocean and you’re the ocean, you don’t let that happen. You sit there and say, no, no, no, no, no. That river ain’t coming in here.

And the minute you try to stop that river, imagine how a stress there is behind the Hoover Dam. The entire weight and power of the Colorado River is trying to push through that dam all the time, every second, every millisecond has been doing it since they built the thing. It never stops. There you go.

That’s what you’ve done inside yourself. Good. Hold it together. It will cause stress. It will cause anxiety. It will cause all kinds of trouble. Okay? It’s the same thing in the, in the other thing. Want something so bad that you d devote your total life to try and get it? Make it happen again. Oh my God, I gotta find this person.

I gotta find this situation. I wanna find the job. I like this so much. I wanna be, you’re struggling. Because you held it and the act of holding it creates stress. So we got that fear and desire. If I had my way, I don’t get to, ’cause I’m sitting here talking. I would tell you, don’t worry about the positives and scars.

You got enough problem with the negative ones, right? So if you have a really nice experience that happening in your life, just forget what I talked about. Truth of the fact you’re gonna find out cause you stress, you’ll find out that she will or he will or somebody, the job will do something that isn’t the way you wanted it to be.

It wasn’t the way you, I, I didn’t bother holding on this thing for three years to get this job and have you talk to me that way. Or relationship. So you’re gonna find out in the end that what I said is true, but in the interim, just worry about pushing away the negative ones because they’re gonna stay in there and cause a lot of trouble.

The positive ones take a little more time for you to catch on. What I’m talking about that to clinging to something, to anything is to say, I want it to happen again. It can’t happen. The universe is not snapshot. It’s a motion picture and not a single atom that stays in the same place ever in the next moment, and not a single thought pattern that any person has, or a motion pattern is the same as the one they had before.

And so you do things like, God, I I just love you so much. I mean, it’s melting in love for you, and somebody doesn’t say anything. Oh, that’s not okay. You’re supposed to say something. Oh, okay. Or somebody says, yeah, yeah, I love you too. Whoa. So when I say it has to happen again, I mean the same tone, the same thing, the same everything.

Otherwise, it’s not gonna restimulate what you thought it was supposed to do. You understand that? Okay, so there’s fears. Desires. Okay, so basically these things come in, the world comes in, that’s reality, and it has its effect on you when it comes in, and unfortunately, you tend to judge. You don’t say it’s all the same.

If it’s raining out, you don’t say, well, it’s raining or it’s sunny. You don’t do that. You sit there and say, I don’t want it to be raining. I don’t want it to be so hot, don’t you? That’s called resistance. You understand? That’s called resistance. To sit there and say, I don’t want it to be hot. I don’t want it to be raining.

I don’t want it to be dark at night. I’m not ready for a change of time. I don’t want it. I don’t like it. I don’t want that to happen. So basically you’re resisting. You’re resisting reality. Any resistance or reality creates tension. Any, I always use the example of the driver in front of you. I won’t do a long example.

Have you ever talked to the driver in front of you? I don’t mean get out and talk to ’em. I mean, in your head, have you ever sat there and said, nice blinker buddy. Why do you keep stepping on your brake? Hey, speed limit 40 miles an hour. You’re going 30. Come on. Has anybody ever had that conversation inside their head?

Has anybody not ever had that conversation on their head? That’s called resistance. Does an event happening outside? How do you know it’s coming in? If it wasn’t happening, I wouldn’t be talking about it. That is a reality event in the universe that exists. How do you know? Because you experienced it.

That’s how you know it exists. It comes in and you in there have these preferences, these hopes and dreams and desires and fears, and when it comes in, you judge. Based on that. I don’t like what’s happening. I don’t like this. I don’t like the rain. I don’t want to ring on my birthday. I like that one. It has nothing to do with your birthday, but you get upset.

Why does it always have to rain on my birthday? So even those little resistances cause tension, don’t they? You don’t even have to wait for it to happen outside to create tension inside. You’re going out hiking tomorrow with a friend of yours. You’re really looking forward to it, and you walk out there just as sunset.

And it is black clouds. You have tension. It didn’t even rain yet. We can do it within ourselves, can’t we? Same thing. You resist the reality of what the weather looked like at six o’clock in the afternoon. Why? Because you have expectations, preferences, hopes, dreams, fears. You built some stuff in there, didn’t you?

And that’s what stresses. Period. There is no stress unless you are resisting or clinging. So then the question becomes one, why am I resisting and clinging? Well, first go really deep is who’s in there resisting and clinging, right? And the second becomes a, what basis do I resist or clinging? How did I decide?

Maybe I want it to rain tomorrow. I don’t wanna go on that date. I didn’t like him at all. I hope it rains and I’ll have to go out camping. I don’t like camping. I said I did, but I don’t. And now all of a sudden when it’s cloudy, I say, oh boy. Okay. So first, who’s resisting or clinging? Who’s the will that’s doing that?

And second, on what basis did you decide to resist or cl and how do you go about resisting? Making sure it doesn’t happen or clingy, making sure it does happen. So it’s, it’s not enough that you have a preference. You have to have a strategy. Of how to make it happen. So you would sit there and think, oh my God, I don’t wanna go on that day.

You’re thinking like that. You’re resisting. Resisting even the thought of what the experience could be. And your mind doesn’t stop there. It says, well, I could call and say I’m sick. Well, no, that’s stupid. That’s la. They always do that, right? Well, I could pray for rain. I could track. I used the love of track.

Oh, rain. Oh, I got rain. Rain. You come up with a tactic. Your mind starts thinking and then that creates stress again. ’cause you already have a way you want it to be. And now you’re out here stressing out here, not just in there. Is anybody listening? This is not a fun way to live. And this is where I take my little side thing and say hello.

You’re sitting on a tiny little burst of dirt, 1.3 million Earth fit inside the sun. Why do you say saying that? Because that should wake you up to realize I don’t need to be creating all this stress and anxiety. I’m doing it. I’m on a planet spin in the middle of nowhere in the middle of nowheres. I literally in the middle of nowheres.

I can’t handle dropping down to a planet and having it spin around the sun a few times and then leave. I don’t go. We’ll find out. That’s too much for you. You gotta make a complete neurotic mess outta yourself, create all that tension and anxiety and so on. The answer is, of course, you don’t have to. All you have to do is pay attention, and I always teach.

Reality is bigger than your little world, isn’t it? Isn’t there a little more going on within your little world like everything else? Well, why don’t you just expand your reality to include that. To include every single thing that’s happening on the planet Earth at this moment. I don’t know what it is. So what you know is there, there’s stuff going on, can you handle, it always comes down to this, can you handle reality?

Can you handle reality? The answer’s always the same. Of course not. I can only handle things are the way I want them to be, and if they’re not the way I want them to be, I resist. I struggle, I manipulate. I do all kinds of things out here to try and make it so that when it comes in, I can tolerate it or maybe even like it.

That is what causes stress. And then you wonder why I have so much stress. You have stress because you have where you want things to be. If you did not have a way you wanted things to be, such as the white lines, such the clouds in the sky, especially people that don’t know passing by, there’s cars you never saw before, like 99.9% of the thing, you don’t care how it is.

Does that mean you’re not a caring person? You’re closed. No, it means the opposite. It means because you’re not resisting and creating tension, you’re open. Now, you can come and bring love into the world instead of stress, instead of anxiety. It’s not that you’re out there in a cave somewhere. It’s not doing anything.

It has nothing to do with that. It has to do with can you handle what’s unfolding in front of you? Why should I, because it’s reality. But what if it’s not good? I don’t care if good, bad, right, wrong, just, and just if it’s happening, it’s happening. Can you handle it? I know you all got this politics and things and likes and dislikes, all this stuff, which is wonderful.

You know you have a mind. It does that, right? But I’m telling you, if an event happened in front of you, it already happened, you’re not gonna change it. No one ever made what happened, not have happened. So you have a choice. Resist or accept. That’s what I mean by resistant acceptance. It doesn’t mean what you’re doing out here.

It means in here are you wise enough to catch on? You have no choice. You did not create this world. It’s all I go down to the quantum field. It’s all little wavelets and a quantum field of energy or something that manifests out as electro neutral. Proton all, why don’t you go change those? Why don’t you change how the atoms bond together?

Is it not true? I forget the quantum level. Is it not true that every single thing you experience in your entire life is just atoms moving around all bound together based on your laws, based on what you want? I don’t think so. You can’t even understand quantum physics. You ain’t down there manipulating it.

It is what it is, and it comes up and manifests with what you experience. Is that okay with you? I love it. Did you wanna say? No, it’s not okay with me. The laws of quantum physics is not okay that those waves are down there vibrating and then manifest the electrodes or proton, blah, blah, blah, and coming up here and looking like this, that’s not okay with me.

They should not be doing that. Really? You have absolutely no control over it. You didn’t build it. You don’t make it. It’s what’s happening. It’s what it is. It’s reality. I haven’t talked about people’s consciousness. I’m just talking about creation. The manifest form, our form comes from the basic model of physics.

It’s just basically everything comes from that field. It’s an omnipresent field all over the universe that vibrates, agitates, and those vibrations, waveless, interact together and make the world that you see. You’re gonna control that are you. You don’t even know what it is, but you wait till it manifests up here and say, I don’t like it.

It shouldn’t rain. You are not building this universe. You’re not making all the planets and the stars at every event that’s happening everywhere. Well, then why do you act like you are? Why do you act like you have the right to say no, I don’t like what happened. Like I said, I’ll deal with the human thought stuff, but I just wanna deal with.

The physical reality of physics. It’s coming up from the quantum field, and it manifests as this. Nothing that you are experiencing did not come from vibrations in that field. Every moment you’re experiencing it, and that’s a long way up and coming all the way up from these wavelengths, it’s like, okay, I’m standing at a lake.

The lake is totally still, I mean completely still. It’s so beautiful. It’s a total still lake. You listen to me in that lake, I’m gonna drop a leaf. When that leaf hits that still like, what’s gonna happen? Ripples. They’ll start doing these ripples. Okay? What if those ripples before your very eyes turned into all the atoms, 103, whatever it is, types of atoms bond together and then into molecules, and then all of a sudden you saw buildings and people and things coming out of those ripples.

Will that blow you away? That’s what’s happening. That is what quantum physicists are telling you is going on every single moment. You are not in charge. How could you be in charge of that? Alright, so that’s what’s going on. And what manifests in front of you? I said I’m gonna deal with people expressing resistance and consciousness.

That’s a different force. That’s an air force. I’m talking about the force that created all of creation. And it’s not past tense. It is creating it right now at this moment. If you wake up in the morning, is your bed still there? Is your dresser still there? Is the ceiling still there? Only because those ripples down there.

Keep manifesting in a way that that stuff is sustained. It’s not really there. It is there because this is creating it. The ripples in the lake put themselves together to create what you’re looking at. Lia freezes it. Okay. This, there, there, it made it, it does it, it didn’t make it. It has to make it. Every single nanosecond has to keep vibrating in a way that when the corks left, tons of boons interact and put themselves together.

They make electron nuclear protons, which make all the atoms, which make the molecule. I, I’m trying so hard for you to get it. Okay. You’re not in charge of that, are you? Well, wait a minute. Why don’t you just be in charge of the ripples that have something to do with you? There is no, you, there is no body.

Every single molecule and, and, and atom within your body comes up from that right now at the very second, that’s what’s happening. So the concept that it’s yours and you’re in charge of it, just makes me left so hard. You know, I’m talking about acceptance and surrender. That’s what you accept and surrender, not what she said or what he did, or No, no.

We’ll talk about that later. Like I said, there’s two forces. One that comes up and creates creation form, and then the consciousness that looks at it, the consciousness comes down. Do you understand that part? Are you, have you realized yet that the consciousness is not what it’s looking at? There is a subject.

Consciousness and an object, but there are 700 trillion zillion objects and one consciousness. Your consciousness inside of you is watching every thought you have and watching every emotion you have. It’s watching your stress. Every single thing you’re doing. You are aware, aren’t you? There’s only one of you, but there’s all these objects now we’re talking about inside.

I’m sorry to mix them up outside. Is a quantum field manifesting inside is what you’re doing about it when you notice it there? That’s the clearest I’ve ever said it. You are in there, aren’t you? And you are in there resisting. You are in there clinging. You’re in there doing the things I talked about.

But this out here is a totally different ball game. It’s manifesting out of physics, is manifesting out of reality, and then you interact with it. So those there, there you got some forces. The force of creation coming up and the force of your individual consciousness resisting creation and saying, I should be able to have things be the way I want.

If things are not the way you want, you know what to say, they’re wrong. You literally say they’re wrong. That shouldn’t happen that way, that should not have happened. Uh, it shouldn’t have been in a car accident. Yeah, that’s wrong. That’s just wrong. I didn’t deserve that. It has nothing to do with that garbage that’s going inside your head with your preferences and your likes and your dislikes.

It has to do with the fact that the forces that caused those two cars end up in the same place at the same time. Go all the way back in history. The person who made your car was in Japan, and I told you they were putting on the brakes, the brake pads, and they had a fight with their wife the night before, and they didn’t torque the screw exactly the tension it should have been.

And because of that, the car didn’t stop as soon as it could have if they didn’t do that. 10 years ago. Whoa. But you’re in charge. Are you? In other words, that shouldn’t have happened. No, you are wrong. If you took every single force that ever exists in the universe, including the beginning of the Big Bang and followed it all the way through, that’s gonna happen.

The forces that be will unfold together, and that’s where it’s gonna end up being. Does that mean you had to have an accident? No. There’s lots of forces coming together along the way. But for you to sit there and say, that shouldn’t have happened, or I like better, how could you say that? Why did you do that?

I never thought you would do that. Why’d you do that? I’m telling you, you don’t want the answer. Because you gotta be sitting there for the rest of your life for the person to explain to you their whole childhood and all the impression that got put upon them and why the thoughts were the way they were and why they made the decision that they did.

Because that’s what unfolded for this moment to take place. The psychology says, mans of some of the learned experiences. It means your psyche. You are not, but your psyche is the semi learned experiences where those experiences come from. Uh oh. The quantum field, the timing, Einstein’s timespace continuum emanated every one of them.

And then you had different experience to everybody else, and by the time it was all said and done, that’s why you said it did what you did. How can I explain it to you? It’s big. It’s not, I had some bad pepperoni pizza last night. That’s why I had a stomachache, and that’s why I said what? I said, no, that’s not far enough back.

Why was the pepperoni pizza bad? Why were you eating pepperoni pizza? You told me you were vegetarian. Now we gotta explain. Every single thing ever happened in the universe of why those events unfold the way they did Eventually. You wake up and you sit there and say, uhoh, I’m not in charge. I am the experiencer of the events unfolding in front of me, and that is what’s happening.

So the question is, why did they happen and what says and what, okay. I’m not saying you can’t come back and do something about it. That’s a different discussion. We’ll do it at the end. I’m just saying, you better start with acceptance. You better start with this happened. How do you know? I mean, here I experienced it.

Can I handle it? Of course. How would you not be able to handle reality? It’s reality. Can I handle the fact that 10 years ago the guy in Japan had a fight with his wife and didn’t tension the thing down? No, I’m gonna put him in jail. Come on man. Everything is everything and you’re just experiencing the end moment.

Not the end moment because it would be another one, just that moment in creation that is unfolding, that the forces that cause it to be are way beyond your comprehension, aren’t they? But that’s not how you think. You think I decide how things should be and this wasn’t right. And she shouldn’t have said that to me.

And I want you to apologize and mean it. And I’m gonna check on regularly whether you mean it or holy mackerel. Who are you? Who doesn’t understand that everything happens because everything happens. Everything has its causes, and they’re very big, aren’t they? The cause of why every single thing ever happened goes way back.

Okay? So, okay, so now we have what I mean by reality, but outer reality. It has nothing to do with you at any given moment. It’s so big. It’s incomprehensible. And I haven’t dealt with astronomy or astrology that there’s the other stars cause forces and mercury’s about to go into and retrograde. Somebody told me.

Right. So it’s like, what about all that? Being in charge of all that. You’re not in charge of anything. You are not in charge of anything that happened. It just took place. For you to be in charge, you are the cause. There’s no way you’re the cause. The only thing you are is the judge. You’re sitting in there based on your past experiences, all of which could have been changed.

You understand that any experience you had might have been otherwise. If you looked to the left, you didn’t see what you saw in front of you. All of a sudden, the summit learned experience is totally different. God, I hope you get this out. I try so hard to liberate you, and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.

This is the truth, isn’t it? Everything is the result of everything and so you understand it’s bigger than you. It’s so much bigger than you. It’s not even funny, but because you are willing to say, I’m right. Your I Am right. Is the sum of your learned experiences put together into some frame of reference that’s tiny, and you’re sitting in there saying, I know I’m right because I experienced it.

That’s ridiculous. Everybody experienced something different. There is no right. You can’t be right. Stop it. That’s why there’s wars. That’s why there’s friction. That’s why there’s tension. That’s why there’s anxiety. That’s why there’s so much stress, because everybody’s thinks they’re right and everybody’s opposing it.

Well, who’s right? Nobody. Nobody’s right. They’re just, they’re the sum of their learn. The consciousness, the sum of your learn experiences at this level. I want you to go. Oh, I see it. I see it. I got my way of thinking. And he got his, and you got yours. And by the way, your wife ain’t the same as the other.

Don’t think your spouse thinks the same as you. ’cause they don’t, because they went to work today and had a different experience than you had when you worked today. Therefore they came back to some of their learning experiences. It is different. It always was. It’s different than some of your learned experiences.

So what’s going on inside your head and what’s going on? Outfit in the world, I laid it out for you. What’s going on outside in the world? Is the quantum field manifesting and holding it together? And what’s going on inside is that your consciousness has come down and started manipulating the things you experienced to build an ego.

Here I am. What? Are you kidding me? You are the consciousness looking at the mind that’s saying, here I am and I know what I’m doing. Those are thoughts that you’re looking at. Can you be wrong? Have you ever changed your mind? Has anybody ever changed their mind? Well, then it must not have been the truth, right?

You can change your mind and tell you want, can’t you? It’s just thoughts. And so you wake up and realize the outside world is what it is, and if you’re wise, the inside world is what you experienced when the outside world came in there. I talking about enlightenment. You talk about the Dao harmony, the outside world is what it is.

What, what do the zens say? Flowers are red, water is blue, and grass is green. Those are teachings. Things are what they are because they’re that way at any given moment. Don’t worry, they won’t be that way. In the next moment, can you let it come in and experience reality? What’s reality? What just happened?

It’s not what you think should have happened then in reality, reality is I’m a conscious being. The outer world manifested. Unbelievably, the fact that it even exists, that there are trees in the planet, it all manifesting. It got squat to do with me. Did you make the planet? It’s been here. How long? Been here?

4.5 billion years. You been busy that long? How long are you staying around here? 80, 90, a hundred years, 4.5 billion. And you wake up, please wake up. You’re not the doer, you’re the experiencer of what is, but you can’t handle it. You can’t handle being the experience of what is, come on a minute, okay?

Because you built inside your mind this thing called preferences. Based on fears and desires. I don’t want that. Which makes it feel fear when it comes in. And I want that, which makes it feel desire when it comes in. And so now you’re living in there dealing with what you made up inside that is out of harmony with the outside.

How do you know it’s out of harmony? ’cause you feel stressed, anxiety. And we’re talking about, okay, this is deep. What I like is it includes the whole universe. It doesn’t just includes your little world that you’re made up with your mind. It means expanding. It’s always expanding consciousness. It means expanding your world of reality to include reality.

And so there, it’s all out there and it’s coming in. I started there. It’s all out there. What is everything? Whoever looked to the left or something else different? Well look to the right. Something different. Look up. Look down. It’s just what is, and it’s coming in. Can you handle it? No. And that’s what we wanna talk about.

You wanna have stress, you wanna have anxiety, you wanna be all weirded out. Hear me? You have to sit there and say, reality is reality. And. Not even, I should be able, of course, you should be able to handle reality. What’s your alternative to, to be unhappy, to suffer. If you can’t handle reality, you’re not gonna be okay, are you?

Oh, no, you’re wrong. I’m a powerful person with all the billions of dollars in the world and all kinds of power. So if I can’t handle reality, I’m gonna change it. I’m gonna go out there and make it be the way I want it to be. Well, that won’t cause any stress for anybody or any tension or anything like that.

Right. What, what was his name? Oh yeah, Adolf Hitler. He had a way he wanted reality be, didn’t he? Nice Jewish yogi and I could talk about it. He had a way he wanted reality to be. That worked out pretty good. Then holy mackerel says, go ahead and give power, tremendous power to come out here, and instead of learning to honor and respect reality, there are Jewish people, there are black people, there are.

Gypsies. Hillary wasn’t just, there’s the Jews. It was almost all the Jews. He was against Catholics. It was against lots of stuff, okay? But basically, come on a off that. Let go. Just let go. It’s okay. There could be Jews. We don’t have to kill ’em all. He could’ve done that, couldn’t he? Maybe he wasn’t evolved enough, but just a little step back saying, oh, I see that I had this experience in my past that made me be against this type of people and this and that.

Eh, that’s just let it go and then it would be over. You wouldn’t have to go through all that. And that’s true now of all the things that are happening. Everything same. It’s always the same. It has to be the same. There’s a reality out there, and part of the reality is that people decided they can’t handle it.

They suffer. They don’t understand. The people that need the most power suffer more than anybody else. They don’t sleep well at night. ’cause they have to control everything. They have to manipulate the world to match what they want. And that caused a lot of disturbance, doesn’t it? People ask, what is evil?

What is evil? That’s not hard for me. Evil is that there is a world unfolding and there’s this consciousness that can’t handle the way it is. They can only handle how their mind and their emotions makes them feel. Okay. And then they take that anxiety and that stress and that confusion and oh my God, that creates darkness because you won’t let reality come in and they go out there and dump that into the world.

And it can be evil. So are the evil people. Well, there is that force that won’t allow the light of reality to pass through, and then it fights that and it creates darkness that like if a cloud comes across the sun, the sun’s still shining. The cloud is your preferences, your hopes, your dreams, your concept, your views, your opinions, your likes, your dislikes, your fears, you this, you in there, this ego, not the consciousness.

The conscious is pure. The conscious is innocently looking at what’s going on, but it can’t handle it, and so it resists it. And your whole ego, all your psyche, what they call your psyche, your emotions and thought patterns are built out of what you resisted. There’s no glue in there. There’s no glue stopping the river from flowing through the ocean.

You can build something and what you build it out of, you built it out of the stored impressions that you didn’t let go of every single one you resisted, stayed inside and started blocking the flow of life, the flow of reality, and it got bigger and bigger until they build this ego. I am the person that likes this.

I’m the person that doesn’t like that. I’m the person who knows that you are wrong. Who? That? The I is? No, the I is the consciousness. Watching what you built, but you did build something in there, didn’t you? And I’m telling you, I guarantee you, you think you’re right. I’ve been doing it for 50 odd years.

Right? The reason you think you’re right is that, that those are the only thoughts you’re having there. Those are the ones you held onto. You don’t understand. This happened to my sister. I had direct experience. You didn’t have the experience. I had a direct experience about this one experience out of 8.3 billion people, and you know what’s going on, don’t you?

It feels like it doesn’t that Wait, I like this one most. No. You don’t understand. It’s not in my mind. I feel this in my heart. I’ll bet you do. Because you stored that stuff in there and it affected your mind and your heart. And so now when you talk about that subject, you’re, you’re adamant about this.

’cause you know what you’re talking about. Is anybody willing to open up enough to hear what I’m saying? You do not know what you’re talking about. You’re just talking about you. Talking about what you collected over the course of your life, which is just a bunch of experiences that you couldn’t handle.

So you held onto a bunch of, you know, hold on, everything. They held onto some of it, and you built an ego. You built an i a self-concept out of what? When we started, I said, I explained why you have preferences. I don’t know you. I know why you have all the preferences you have both for and against because events happened in your life and if you didn’t like them, you pushed them away.

If you did like you, you would clung to ’em, but all the events were different. So how do I judge you? That’s not, by all means, judge. Not to sure, not judge. Right? Why is judging so bad? Because reality is reality. Okay. Here I have a really like impressions, paintings, okay? So let’s go to a Monet. Or a Beethoven piece.

Okay. And instead of listening to it or looking at it and letting it blow you away to go that place, it touched with the death of my being. Let’s critique it. I don’t think this brush stroke that Monet used was exactly the right one. It was a little too thick. What did, what’d you just do? You didn’t let reality come in and touch you to the depth of your being.

Did you? You let your mind get involved and you think, you know how Monet’s brushstroke should have been. You think you’re right. I’m right. Prove you. Renoirs was this way. It’s crazy to judge. Things are what they are. Honor them, respect them, work with them, but don’t think you have the right to judge anything.

Because your judgment is based on your past experiences, that a different experience. You judge it differently. Any subject I took, I’m not gonna do it ’cause you’re too much sensitive. If I took any subject that you’re passionate about, I could show you somebody else’s just as passionate about the opposite position and has just as many reasons to be and just as much justification.

But yours looks different because it’s the experience you had. Therefore it was more real to you. But is it more real? No experience anywhere at any time is more real than anything else. They’re all just happening. This is a spiritual discussion, not let’s join together and make things be this way, or do It’s just like, wow, wow.

It really is big. Way bigger than me, than my little me. And. Yes, I can honor it and respect it. I can honor respect. Do I like it? No, of course I don’t like it. I only like, which I like. I only like with the impression left on me. But am I high enough, deep enough, surrendered enough, accepting enough to feel the wholeness of reality.

And sit there and say, of course it was the way it was. ’cause those are forced, made it be that way. Of course it is the way it is. ’cause they’re forced to making it be that way. Of course it will be. Which I have no idea however it will be. ’cause those that are forced don’t make it be that way. How are you?

I’m at peace. It’s called the peace. The path is all understanding it’s true spirituality. In other words, I’m seated far enough back that I have transcended my personal self. You know what those words mean? You got a little personal self in there, don’t you? Your likes and dislikes, but there’s a consciousness that knows it’s in there.

You know what problems you have. You mean to let ’em off. You know what’s going on in there. That’s because you’re conscious. So you see what’s going on in there, but you manipulate it and try to make it be okay and try to make the outside world match what’s going on, and that’s, that’s my favorite. You’re trying to make the outside world that’s unfolding in front of you in this moment match the sum of your learned experiences.

Good luck if it gets the outside world that’s unfolding in front of you has nothing to do with the sum of your learned experiences. They’re gone and there were also billions of trillions of other experiences that you didn’t experience. So how is the moment in front of you, which is a result of everything that ever happened everywhere is gonna match what you made up in this moment?

That it should match? It won’t. It will never do it. You think it does. I have hope. I hope that someday my ship will come in. There is no ship. There’s just reality. Everywhere is unfolding. You can’t handle it because you’re married to your thoughts and your emotions. So now we’ve painted the picture of what causes suffering.

Who else said that causes suffering? Who else talked like this? Much less words. Buddha. What did Buddha say? There’s four things that Buddha taught. One, all of life is suffering. If what he calls suffering is what you just call tension and anxiety and problems and worry. All life is suffering. You broke your arm every minute.

It just means you’re in or suffering. That’s the first noble truth. The second noble truth is beyond comprehension. It’s because he went so deep that he saw everything. He came back and he said, I found the cause of suffering. His second noble truth. The cause of suffering is preference. They usually translate its desire.

What is a preference? A desire. What is a desire? A preference? No one of you have a desire that you don’t want to happen. You have a preference. That’s what a preference is. The cause of suffering is preference. The cause of all suffering is preference to end suffering. Desire. Whoa. Oh my God. That’s a very deep little sentences.

The cause of suffering is I’ll use desire, but I want you to use preference, right? Because what you think desire is lost. Greed. That’s a desire is no. No. Desire is preference. I don’t want to be reigning right now. If I didn’t mind that it was raining, if I honored and respected it’s right to rain, I would not be suffering.

I don’t like that my husband or wife went to work and came back today in a bad mood. I’m sorry. That’s what happened. Can you handle it? If he or she came back in a bad mood and I was okay with you, okay, then a bad day, I’m, I could talk about it. I don’t need anything. Fine. How can I help? Then you didn’t bring a preference into the moment of saying, I don’t prefer to be aware of somebody who treats me like that.

Then all of a sudden, you’re not suffering. Do you get it? People suffer ’cause they’re gonna die. Are you gonna die? Answer me. Are you gonna die? So here’s this thing you know is gonna happen, but you don’t wanna die. Well, there’s a big preference. I don’t wanna die. I don’t wanna get old. Now. Wonder you’re suffering the cause of suffering.

It’s desire, it’s preference. I have a way I want it to be. It’s not that way. Now. You made up ways that didn’t even happen yet that you don’t want to be that way. And my favorite every one of you. Have had experiences in the past that you don’t want to have happened. Whoa. Talking about non-sequitur, they happened.

You’ve now said, I’m going to be neurotic for the rest of my life because things that can’t change, nobody ever changed, already happened. What are you doing wasting your suffering over that, which already happened? So the cause of all suffering is exactly what Buddha said. You get it now. That’s deep stuff with for noble truths, the cause of suffering, his preference, his desires.

The third Zen patriarch has this tree of some faith mind. One of the deepest thing ever written. Zen the first line. That’s all. You need, the first line. It’s the deepest line ever written in any spirituality. The great way is not difficult for those who have no preferences, the great way of being enlightenment.

Being union with the universe, the great way is not difficult for those who have no preferences. Now, do you see why? Because you’re clean in there. You didn’t do that. The events that happen happen and you handle them. I promise you, at some point, once we’ve dealt with them and we’re at peace with them now, do you deal with them?

Yes, of course you deal with them. Life is an interactive sport. But you do not deal with them ’cause you don’t like them or ’cause you really want them to happen again. You don’t deal with them ’cause you added this energy to them. ’cause you didn’t handle it when they happened. Now you wanna make sure they don’t happen again or make sure they do happen again.

First handle what happened. Okay? This is how it is. This person doesn’t like me. This person did this, this person did that. This person said this, this person, whatever it’s Or it’s hot out. It’s hot out today, right? Or it’s raining. I don’t want it to be raining. You just look at that and say. It’s okay. It’s okay.

It can rain and you just start practicing acceptance. Doesn’t mean you don’t deal with it. It’s raining. Hold up an umbrella. No, make you said surrender. No. That is not what surrender means. Surrender means let go of your resistance to the rain, so you’re at peace with it. And then for God’s sakes, deal with it.

Nobody’s telling you don’t deal with it. You don’t deal with it out of resistance, you know, deal it out of desire. You don’t deal with it outta the fact that you can’t handle it. See the difference? I can handle it. Okay, good. Then handle it. I can’t handle it. Then you’re the wrong person to handle it.

’cause you just admitted you can’t handle it. Now you understand Surrender. I understand acceptance now you understand everything. Oh, the Buddhist teaching, the Tao teachings. Lasu taught the same thing. There’s a world unfolding. Come in harmony with it. What does that mean? Stop being out of harmony with it.

Stop resisting, stop struggling, start clinging, stop doing this junk you doing there, and start practicing acceptance. So now, now we’ve had this whole beautiful discussion about what’s going on and why, and what tension is and all this stuff. Every single thing. Fine. I get it. What’s the technique that I use to work with it?

You’re right. I resist. You’re right. I suppress. You’re right. I cling. You’re right. And it has caused every problem I ever had in my whole life. What do I do about it? If I had one minute left, I could give you all the technique you ever need. And how many techniques do they give you? 700 billion, zillion.

Here’s the technique. You’re in there. Check. You sure? Yeah, I’m in here. Do you notice that things come in and their vibes are different? Some feel good and some feel bad, and some I wanna resist and some I wanna cling to. Anybody notice when the energy comes in. Just be conscious enough to realize the first act, no matter what is coming in, is to let go, is to relax.

Relaxation is the opposite of resistance. If you’re coming at me and I’m a tough martial arts, boxing, you come at me, I’m gonna fight back, right? If I’m into judo. As you come at me, I let go. You fall over me now. How big you are? A 300 pounds Sumo wrestler. If I don’t resist. You fall over me inside. No matter what came in.

Don’t even bother analyzing it. Get to the point where you realize it doesn’t matter what came in, I’m going to let go. Not should I or shouldn’t I. If there’s a tendency to resist, my first action is gonna be to relax. What do you relax? Not resist. You can’t push it away when you’re not resisting. It will pass through, right?

But that’s not easy is it? And then you start to say, okay, that’s what I wanna do. I wanna learn to let go. And I told you, letting go doesn’t mean you don’t come back and deal with it. As you deal with it, you come back, not because I can’t handle it, you come back. ’cause I can handle it and see how I can help.

Not me. Well, the situation needs some help. You’re not doing anything about you. You’re just honoring, respecting the situation. But you can’t do that now. You do still clinging and you still do resist. So what do you, do? You practice not doing that on the suppressions that I’ve held for all these years? No, you are not gonna be able to let go of those like that.

You practice on the rain, you practice on the driver in front of you. It’s like you practice the piano, you know, play Zukowski or Beethoven immediately. You do the scales. Any sport that you do, you are good at to start with. You practice, you practice letting go, you practice letting go and living the tether.

It goes into great detail about this of every little energy and how to work with it and so on. What it all boils down to is, do you want to let go? You haven’t even heard the benefit of letting go. What you heard is, oh, I don’t have to suffer. Well, that’s wonderful. So I don’t have to be negative. Right?

When you let the energy pass through, it goes up. It goes up ’cause you’re not pushing it down. And those blockages don’t get built. And all of a sudden at some point the energy starts making it through the dam by itself. Why? Because the Colorado River doesn’t wanna be stopped by that dam. And you’ve let go of the dam and it starts coming up and that’s when the Shakia call, it changes direction.

It’s not that your energy’s going down, you struggle and fight. All of a sudden there’s this energy inside. It’s just going up. Feeding you all the time. You feel ecstasy, joy, love all the time. You don’t have to do anything. It has nothing to do with the outside. It’s because you stop blocking Shakti, you stop blocking the flow of spirit and it will come in and it will do that, and you will have that experience.

But then something will happen to hit your stuff and you’ll tend to close. Well learn to let go. Just keep learning to let go first for the small stuff, I quote, low hanging fruit, that was some bigger stuff and so on. And eventually you’ll get to a point where. I wouldn’t resist if I had a choice in here.

I wouldn’t resist anything ever again. But then I’ll come back and deal with it, but I would not resist anything ever again. Now what anybody says, no, what anybody does, no matter what happens and all of a sudden these big things happen and they just pass right through, then they come back and deal with ’em.

You say, boy, that’s a lot nicer. And it helps everybody else too. And so that is the path. Path of non resistance, the path of surrender. How do you do it by non resisting. What is the path of non resistance? No resistance. Somebody once asked me, I said, keep your heart open. If you keep your heart open, you’ll feel love all the time.

Do you understand that? And they asked me, yeah, but how do I keep my heart open? And I remember these years and years ago, I’ll never forget it. I said, by not closing it, they said, what a stupid answer. It’s not a stupid answer. You do close your heart, don’t you. Don’t do it there. It’ll stay open. Alright, I see what I got to say to you.

We took a big journey. Do you understand stress better and where it comes from and why Understand the solution to stress is not get a better job or get a thing or get divorced and find somebody. It’s letting go inside of where you’re resisting. If you’re not resisting, there is no stress. You don’t need vacations.

You’ll literally enjoy every moment in your life. Same as any other moment if you don’t resist, if you learn to clean out inside.
