Let me tell you just a little bit about Lorna. She was born in Dublin and relates that she has seen angels since she was a baby. We\u2019re going to be talking about that, what it\u2019s like to enter into the world\u2014I\u2019ll call it the \u201cspirit world\u201d\u2014the spirit-sensitive world that Lorna lives in.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lorna has written seven bestselling books, including <\/span>Angels in My Hair<\/span><\/i>, <\/span>A Message of Hope from the Angels<\/span><\/i>, and <\/span>Angels at My Fingertips<\/span><\/i>. Her work has been published in more than 50 countries and in 30 languages worldwide. And this is particularly remarkable, and we\u2019ll hear more about this, as Lorna herself is dyslexic. She never learned formally how to read and write. And all of these books were created through her voicing the words that then became printed in the books.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lorna is also a peace ambassador and a philanthropist. She founded the Lorna Byrne Children\u2019s Foundation and also a foundation called the Seraph Foundation, which is developing a sanctuary in Ireland for people of all backgrounds and beliefs to come together, and develop, and evolve spiritually. Lorna, welcome.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Lorna Byrne:<\/b> I thank you so much for having me here, and I say welcome to all of your audience as well. I hope they get inspired spiritually while we chat and talk together.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tami Simon:<\/b> And as promised, I want to begin by entering your world. I think most of us live in predominantly a physical world, or maybe a mental world, an emotional world. But we don\u2019t necessarily live with what we might call \u201cspiritual sight.\u201d So tell me what it\u2019s like inside you, being Lorna Byrne. What do you see, feel, sense when you\u2014like right now, right here in this conversation?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Lorna Byrne:<\/b> Well, right here now in this conversation, I\u2019m just saying to myself, I can\u2019t see your guardian angel because we\u2019re onscreen. That very rarely happens. But I know if we were in the same room together, I would, and probably see other angels or maybe souls of loved ones around you as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

To me, it\u2019s normal. I don\u2019t know anything else in that way. When I see people out on the street or someone passing my house, I see the angels with them as well. And that\u2019s normal for me. I find it hard to understand what it\u2019s like for you, only seeing people.<\/span><\/p>\n

To me, how come they can only see people? Why can\u2019t everyone spiritually see as I see? And I know I\u2019m seeing through the eyes of my soul as well, as well as my human eyes. But I do find it hard living in the human world. I always did. I find humanly, it\u2019s hard to understand human beings. And I hope that\u2019s helping you.<\/span><\/p>\n

I always say from the moment I opened my eyes as an infant in the cot, seeing angels but not knowing they were angels, and trying to reach up and touch them to play. It was only when maybe I was about two and a half or three, roughly, I can never guess exactly, when I was playing with my brother in front of the fire. He had his back to the fire, and the fire was blazing, and he said the fire doesn\u2019t bother him. So we were playing with little blocks my dad had made, little wooden blocks.<\/span><\/p>\n

And it was when our hands touched, that was the most exciting time. When our hands touched, it was like as if his hand went into mine or mine went into his, and it all sparkled. And I know I laughed, because I felt such joy and such love.<\/span><\/p>\n

But it was at that moment the angels that were around us told me that my brother, who I believe my mom and dad could see him. I didn\u2019t realize he wasn\u2019t flesh and blood, that he had died before I was born. And that I must keep it a secret. I mustn\u2019t let anyone know that I see them or see the soul of my brother.<\/span><\/p>\n

And they were always reminding me of that. And at times, I still see him today. I still see my brother today. But at times when I was little and living in old Kilmainham with my parents, my mom would be asleep in this big, huge chair in front of the fire. She\u2019d just fall asleep, and then I would see my brother asleep in her arms, but he\u2019d only be an infant. And you have to remember, I was so young, I didn\u2019t question anything. To me, that\u2019s normal. It\u2019s so normal. And I suppose I wouldn\u2019t change my life for anything.<\/span><\/p>\n

And even when I got older, they have taught me everything spiritually out in nature. I could go across the mountains and I\u2019d come back safe, and they would be teaching me how to see.<\/span><\/p>\n

I think, spiritually, people have forgotten how to see. People only look at everything. I\u2019ve often had people with me, and just maybe a small group, and teach them how to see, and not just to look. Because we look, but we\u2019re not taking in everything we actually see.<\/span><\/p>\n

And I think it is that God and the angels just taught me how to see. Every day, I was at school with them every single day, 24 hours a day, probably even when I\u2019m sleeping. And I know it\u2019s the connection to my soul, that spark of light of God.<\/span><\/p>\n

And that\u2019s extremely powerful. We don\u2019t realize, how would I say? That intertwining happen between the human being and the soul\u2014if we\u2019d let it happen more, you would be able to see then all I see.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tami Simon:<\/b> There\u2019s so much, Lorna, in what you\u2019ve already said. There\u2019s so much in what you\u2019ve said. Because I think for a lot of people who have lost loved ones, the thought, the potential, that they could connect with their loved one in any kind of ongoing way is a huge longing that they have and also a whole lot of disbelief.<\/span><\/p>\n

So here where you\u2019re talking about your little brother, and you\u2019re saying that you still have a relationship with him, help us understand in the world of Lorna Byrne, what happens when people die? Where do they go? Is your little brother still young? Did he grow and evolve? Why didn\u2019t he cross over? Did he cross over? And you\u2019re meeting with his spirit. How do you see this?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Lorna Byrne:<\/b> I suppose maybe that\u2019s a lot you\u2019ve said there.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tami Simon:<\/b> Yes, I have. Sorry, I\u2019m just trying to get out\u2014there\u2019s a lot going on. Yeah.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Lorna Byrne:<\/b> Yeah. Yes. My little brother who died at ten weeks, and he did pass over. That\u2019s the incredible thing. Every soul does pass over. And I know humanly, we use that word. It\u2019s like the soul becomes free from the human body.<\/span><\/p>\n

I know I use the word \u201cheaven\u201d because that\u2019s the word that\u2019s used humanly in that way. But your loved one\u2014what I say to every parent and anyone who has lost a loved one, they\u2019re not dead.<\/span><\/p>\n

I don\u2019t know why, or when in a sense, God fell in love with us and gave us that tiny little spark of light of Itself. And I don\u2019t know when that happened. But because that happened, that\u2019s the spiritual part of us. We as human beings say the \u201chuman part\u201d and the \u201cspiritual part.\u201d We\u2019re keeping them separate. It\u2019s like let them come together, let them intertwine.<\/span><\/p>\n

And I know the soul of a loved one, and depending on how close you were with them in every way, you sense them when they\u2019re in and around you. You feel their presence, but you deny it. Because the world has been telling people for centuries, \u201cYou\u2019re crazy, you\u2019re mad in that way,\u201d but you do sense your loved one.<\/span><\/p>\n

I hear from so many people who would say, \u201cThat smell came into the house for a moment. I know my child was in and around me.\u201d \u201cThe toy that has been missing for so long appeared.\u201d And that\u2019s the soul of your child letting you know.<\/span><\/p>\n

When I told my mom after <\/span>Angels in My Hair<\/span><\/i> was written and published, she cried and she said, \u201cI wish [I] had known that,\u201d because he died at ten weeks. She was told negative things from the church as such, which was so sad, because her child was so young. And even though he had got christened, it was like, \u201cYou are not allowed to talk about him anymore. Forget about it. It never happened.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

And I suppose way back then in Ireland, he was buried in what was called the babies\u2019 burial ground. And that means loads of babies, where children were buried there. There wasn\u2019t something individually that you could go to. It\u2019s unmarked in that way.<\/span><\/p>\n

And she just said, \u201cEven aunts and neighbors and all, nobody ever talks about a loved one that we have lost.\u201d And we should because they\u2019re not dead. We just miss the human touch. But everyone will see their loved one when your time comes. But let that not be for a long, long time. Because human life is precious, but you have a soul.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s like acknowledging that spark of life that\u2019s inside you that fills every part of you, and yet is out there as well in that way. And I know my voice is going a bit funny, so forgive that.<\/span><\/p>\n

But it\u2019s to become conscious that you have a soul, become conscious that you have a guardian angel. You may call your guardian angel something else, but it\u2019s the one angel that is the gatekeeper of your soul and never, never leaves you.<\/span><\/p>\n

And at the moment of death, what I have seen so many times, even at a road accident, the guardian angel, it\u2019s like how can I describe it? I know when I say \u201creach into the human body,\u201d that\u2019s not really it. But it\u2019s like the guardian angel straight away at that very, very moment, you know everything spiritually. If you never believed you had a soul, or you never believed in angels or God or anything, you know at that very second when your human body dies that you are a spiritual being. You know everything. And I know that is incredible, but why don\u2019t we as human beings start to accept before that happens and discover so much more? Start to be able to see, and even to be able to see the soul of a loved one, even your child. My mom had said sometimes just as she would waken in that chair, she would feel there was something in her arms. It\u2019s to acknowledge it.<\/span><\/p>\n

And I think, spiritually, we\u2019re still very afraid. And yet we\u2019re so open, we\u2019re so hungry, we\u2019re so thirsty. We want to know more. And maybe I shouldn\u2019t say any more, let you say something now. I don\u2019t even know if I answered your question.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tami Simon:<\/b> There\u2019s so much to talk about, Lorna. And a couple times, you\u2019ve pointed to this idea that, as humans, we can further \u201cintertwine\u201d with our soul nature. How do we do that from your perspective?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Lorna Byrne:<\/b> To me, it\u2019s very simple. But I think humanly, we think it\u2019s a huge process. And what makes it so simple, it is actually just starting to acknowledge and casting away fear and doubt.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s like you don\u2019t love yourself because you\u2019ve been maybe told from the time you were a child, \u201cThat\u2019s not good enough.\u201d You\u2019ve been run down. Maybe in your job, you\u2019re being told nothing will happen for you. Through friends and family. So we lose that connection with our soul. Because in a sense, we\u2019re not loving ourself.<\/span><\/p>\n

And to me, the only way I can say is that acknowledge you have a soul and realize that your soul is pure love. It can\u2019t be contaminated. The world has been telling you for I don\u2019t know how long that your soul can be contaminated. It can\u2019t. And it\u2019s like reach in and, in a sense, allow yourself to touch it. And know that you\u2019re pure love. And know in a sense that\u2014how would I say this? Love yourself. I often tell people go and give yourself a hug and say well done. Don\u2019t try to be someone else, because you are unique and perfect. You are who you are meant to be.<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m severely dyslexic. I was an outcast humanly, but not by the angels. I\u2019ve had incredible teachers. They have taught me everything I know. And even today, don\u2019t give me a book to read. I can\u2019t read it. You\u2019re wasting your time. Or say, \u201cHere, do this.\u201d I can\u2019t. I never try. One thing God and the angels taught me is never to try to be anyone else. Just be you.<\/span><\/p>\n

And love is a huge part of the word we use, \u201cspirituality,\u201d of that intertwining. Of the body and soul coming together. I would say like a [INAUDIBLE] in that way. And the most incredible thing is, we allow that to happen. And please God, this generation is starting to allow that to happen.<\/span><\/p>\n

A time will come when you won\u2019t grow old. A time will come when you won\u2019t get sick. And a time will come when you will look at the children of the world, and even at yourself, and you\u2019ll be able to do incredible things that, at the moment, the world is telling you is impossible. And what I would say to you, nothing is impossible, no matter what you\u2019re told.<\/span><\/p>\n

I remember when <\/span>Angels in My Hair<\/span><\/i> came out, I had so many young people coming to book signings, saying, \u201cYou have given us great courage. You have opened us up, if you can do it.\u201d And they would ask, \u201cBut how have you done it?\u201d And again, maybe we use the word \u201cfaith\u201d allowing that intertwining to happen, and just going down the road. I don\u2019t plan anything. While other people now have to, say, plan things like this interview with you. But I don\u2019t plan my life. I don\u2019t say, \u201cWhat\u2019s my destiny? What\u2019s my purpose?\u201d Those words are alien to me. I don\u2019t understand them, why human beings say that. I just go down the road, and I just\u2014what would you say it? Say let it open, and I could be heading towards, let\u2019s say, this wonderful thing that looks so wonderful. And then all of a sudden I\u2019m told to turn, and that doesn\u2019t bother me. I turn. I don\u2019t say, \u201cI have failed,\u201d or, \u201cI\u2019m disappointed. Why can\u2019t I go forward towards what I was seeing?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

I know I find it hard to explain, but it\u2019s letting that intertwining happen between the human being and the soul. It\u2019s so important. I have talked about in some of the books, some of the futures I have seen for mankind. Negative ones and positive ones. And I know we can do it. It\u2019s like we overcome all the negative ones eventually. I\u2019d love us to overcome them a bit quicker in that way.<\/span><\/p>\n

But the positive ones, it\u2019s not just one incredible future. It\u2019s like a whole load of incredible futures coming together for mankind, of that intertwining. Where one of the books I have explained that the children crossed the river without a bridge. And I smile at that, because their feet don\u2019t touch the water, and it\u2019s a big river. You know what I mean? It was just so incredible. But that was because of the intertwining. It was\u2014we discover we don\u2019t need all the material things that we believe we need now in that way, because of that intertwining happening. And we are healing in so many different ways.<\/span><\/p>\n

And the other thing I loved was these children were seeing, and the adults, more than I see myself. And I was getting a glimpse of some of what they were seeing, and I couldn\u2019t describe it. We think humanly, that we have discovered so much. And in a sense, we\u2019re kind of thinking in a way, \u201cWhat else do we have to learn?\u201d Loads. Because I see loads.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tami Simon:<\/b> Now, Lorna, I need to ask you a question at this point. Because you said when it comes to this intertwining, that we need to put aside our fear and our doubt. And I\u2019m sure you\u2019ve heard all kinds of doubt, all kinds of skepticism, from all kinds of people.<\/span><\/p>\n

But I noticed I was sort of with you and I was tuning in to this pure love. And then when you said the vision and the future of children walking across a long river without a bridge, I was like, \u201cCome on.\u201d I can\u2019t go that far. I can\u2019t go that far. They need a physical bridge to walk across the river. \u201cWhat world are we in? What world\u2019s Lorna in? She\u2019s seeing these images. They\u2019re fantasy images.\u201d So how do we work with whatever level, at whatever point in this conversation, the listener\u2019s doubt is triggered? Maybe from the first five seconds, or maybe with me and the children over the river. How do we work with our own doubt?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Lorna Byrne:<\/b> I think one of the things that everyone has to say to themselves, \u201cWhat have you got to lose? Nothing.\u201d By giving yourself the chance to discover, to believe, no matter where you are in life. And that\u2019s a hard one, because millions of people have doubts, as you say. And they would say, \u201cYou\u2019re crazy. That\u2019s silly.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

But I have met many scientists over the years, and they would come to me and they would say, \u201cLorna, we\u2019ve read your books.\u201d And maybe I even found this doubtful, because now that I think of it, they would say to me, \u201cYou\u2019re right.\u201d But I don\u2019t know what they were seeing in the books. And they would say, \u201cWe can\u2019t say anything because we would lose our credibility.\u201d But I always remember one scientist saying to me, \u201cLorna, if another scientist turns around and says to you, \u2018That\u2019s impossible,\u2019 then that scientist is not a scientist because everything is possible.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s a huge question I can\u2019t answer in that way. I think it\u2019s a step every human being takes. And what would I say? At the moment, I am working with a scientist. We\u2019re cowriting together about his theories of what he understands now on the spiritual side, and what he believes what I\u2019m seeing in that way and that communication.<\/span><\/p>\n

But I was explaining to him, \u201cWhy can\u2019t everyone see everything I see? Why can\u2019t people see\u2014\u201d I know you\u2019ll probably find this hard to believe\u2014\u201cwhat\u2019s actually around you. The air, the atmosphere. Why can\u2019t you?\u201d And I remember one day describing some of the things I was seeing, and lately he came along and said to me, \u201cLorna, NASA has proven that just now.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tami Simon:<\/b> Has proven what? What were you seeing that you described?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Lorna Byrne:<\/b> Some of the things I was seeing like, what would I say? Stardust, and the way the air moves, and all that\u2019s in it. It\u2019s not just air. There\u2019s so many particles there, not just from our planet. Both from outside our planet that are still coming in, in that way. Which actually has made it very interesting to me to realize that science is discovering more in that way.<\/span><\/p>\n

But the only thing they haven\u2019t realized, really, is that the ordinary person can see these things. And I suppose that\u2019s what I want to help, is to teach people that. Teach them how to start to see.<\/span><\/p>\n

I know I did have a group of people from America there a while ago, and the weather was cold here in Ireland, and I was teaching them how to see and not to look. And they found it amazing. I just brought them out into the garden, and I asked them to pick something. And I stood with them and worked with them, and told them not just to look, but to see.<\/span><\/p>\n

It took them a while. And then suddenly, one by one, they started to see something that they never realized or never noticed. It was like as if the flower, the leaf, or the stone became more visible, became more translucent, became more full of light. In the sense, I always remember one lady saying, \u201cThis is alive. I can see it\u2019s alive in that way.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

But children are great. I often watch children sometimes when I\u2019m out walking, especially in the summertime, and they\u2019re out with their parents, and they\u2019re looking at something but I know they\u2019re seeing, because of what I see them do with the plants. Sometimes you would see a child blowing the direction. They\u2019re close to something and they will be blowing. And I would see the energy of the plant moving, the colors changing. And sometimes, I would notice that the child will give a little giggle in that way and then run off.<\/span><\/p>\n

Because a young child, it\u2019s natural. It\u2019s only when adults come along and change that and tell them, \u201cSorry, child, you only imagined that in that way.\u201d Yeah, I would have lots of people that would say I\u2019m crazy. But it doesn\u2019t matter when you help someone, or you change someone\u2019s life for the better, or you give them hope. You give them belief in mankind again, that they want to become conscious of their soul and they want that love. They want to feel that love of their soul, and they want to share it. And the one thing I love about our soul, it is pure love. It\u2019s that light. It\u2019s pure love.<\/span><\/p>\n

But I had to say, imagine a jug full of milk because it\u2019s white, and you\u2019re pouring it out. And then when you lift it back up again, it\u2019s still full to the brim. We\u2019re kind of afraid to allow that love out from our soul. We kind of in a sense keep it imprisoned, because the human part of us tells us it\u2019s wrong. \u201cYou will get hurt. You can\u2019t love that person. You can\u2019t be kind to that person. You can\u2019t have empathy.\u201d Nowadays, in schools now all over the world, I have to smile. We may not call it spirituality. We may not use those words. But now in schools, we\u2019re starting to teach children about love, about compassion, about hope, about that empathy for each other. And they\u2019re things you can\u2019t buy. They\u2019re part of the spiritual side of us. They\u2019re not for sale.<\/span><\/p>\n

And in a sense, it\u2019s like we became hard and cold because we humanly believed that it was all about the material things. But you can have all the material things in the world and be sad and depressed and feeling life is not worth living, because you feel no one loves you or cares for you in any way, or you haven\u2019t been shown love from the time you were a child in the way that you feel you should be. So you haven\u2019t allowed yourself to show that love and compassion.<\/span><\/p>\n

And it could be just that smile you give someone. You know, you don\u2019t know that when you\u2019re out walking or you\u2019re opening a door and you smile at someone, you may have just saved their life. Spiritually, because you smiled, you gave them hope. I better not keep talking. You say something.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tami Simon:<\/b> Yes. Well, there is quite a lot actually I\u2019d like to talk with you about. But one thing I\u2019d like to know is if you were to describe to me what this pure love feels like in your experience, what does it feel like? Give me words for it.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Lorna Byrne:<\/b> I\u2019m going to have to search for words. I don\u2019t find it overwhelming anymore. It\u2019s like I have learned how to, what would you say? I don\u2019t know whether you\u2019d say soak it up, allow it to be part of me in that way.<\/span><\/p>\n

And I just give it out, because I know there is no end to it. And to me, if letting the love of my soul free, taking those chains that humanly we put around our soul away, and allow ourselves\u2014it\u2019s hard to describe, but you\u2019re a different person. Maybe if I was educated by the world, by human beings, I would be different. But I wasn\u2019t. And from the very beginning, one thing the angels would always say\u2026 And I understand the words, but I find it hard to put that emotion that you\u2019re asking for it, that explanation. They would say to me, \u201cThey know no better.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

And in them saying that to me actually just makes me love more. I don\u2019t put barriers up. I don\u2019t say, \u201cThat person is not worth it. You don\u2019t help them,\u201d because of whatever it is. I can\u2019t do that. It\u2019s like that\u2019s gone from me humanly. I can only love every human being, and I don\u2019t care what someone else might say about them in the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s like, I don\u2019t know what you\u2019re talking about, because I see this beautiful, incredible human being no matter what they may have done or you think they have done. I see the guardian angel there with them physically, and I see the light of their soul. And all that I can do is reach out and help them and help them to live, because life is so precious. It\u2019s very hard to explain. And because I\u2019m dyslexic, I can\u2019t all the time use words that might explain something in more depth in that way, because sometimes words are hard to come out, if you know what I mean.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tami Simon:<\/b> You\u2019re doing a great job, not just in words but I can feel from your presence, and I am soaking that up. Now, one of the things, Lorna, that you\u2019re well known for is teaching that each one of us, and you\u2019ve mentioned this, has a guardian angel. So let\u2019s say somebody\u2019s listening and what comes up for them is a big, fat question mark. \u201cMaybe I have a guardian angel. I\u2019m not sure.\u201d How would you suggest that we each discover this potentially for ourselves?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Lorna Byrne:<\/b> Well again, I would say very simple. Give yourself a chance. Don\u2019t straight away say no, because your guardian angel is there to give you guidance, to help you as much as possible, to have other angels in and around you at different times. And even the souls of loved ones as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

So I always say to people, some people would say to me\u2026 I had a lady there back a while ago, what was she telling me? She was saying, \u201cLorna, I really needed to talk to you because I\u2019m full of anxiety, and I don\u2019t believe I have a guardian angel. My guardian angel, if it\u2019s there, has never helped me, has never given me strength or hope.\u201d And I listened to her saying all of that. And I told her, \u201cWell, I love you. You are loved, and your guardian angel loves you. And your soul is pure love.\u201d And she said, \u201cBut that\u2019s no good to me, because I just don\u2019t feel the presence of my guardian angel. I don\u2019t believe it. I have even asked my guardian angel to give me a sign, and my guardian angel has never.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

And I just smiled at her because she was after getting the biggest sign, but she didn\u2019t realize it. And that was that we have thousands of people coming in and asking to talk to me for a few minutes, or 20 minutes, or a half an hour. And my daughter just picks them randomly. And she was picked. What a bigger sign do you need than that? And it was like, as if all of a sudden, she realized for the first time.<\/span><\/p>\n

And I would say to people, just ask your guardian angel to help you and see how you get through the day. Every time you are having a difficulty or you\u2019re feeling nervous or anxious, just ask it to help to give you that strength, to give you that courage, to turn whatever fear you have into strength. And ask your guardian angel for a sign as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

And something simple. Sometimes somebody would say to me, \u201cI have asked to win the lotto\u201d or some big huge prize. And they would say, \u201cIt has never happened.\u201d But I always say maybe ask for a flower or a feather, something small.<\/span><\/p>\n

Or maybe ask for someone that you have been maybe thinking of, that has been in your mind. Maybe they stopped talking to you for some reason. You fell out with them, and maybe now you would like to say hello. You can ask for that as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

And I often hear from people that that often happens. The person gives them a call or sends them a card out of the blue, or they bump into them in the street somewhere, or in another country in that way. And again, it\u2019s like believing in your soul. It\u2019s like giving yourself that hope, that chance.<\/span><\/p>\n

And even ask your guardian angel what is its name. And a guardian angel\u2019s name, like all angels, their name is so long. They have shown me, to me it\u2019s like hundreds and hundreds of letters, so you could never say the word at all. And it could be your guardian angel could give you something very, very simple.<\/span><\/p>\n

But a lot of times, adults feel the name that they have received is not, what would you say? Big enough, or not exciting enough. I always remember a man that, seemly, he had come to many of my talks. And at this talk, he was up at the back of the audience and he said, \u201cLorna, I\u2019ve been asking my guardian angel. I believe I have a guardian angel. I have got signs, but I have been asking for the last five years for my guardian angel\u2019s name, and it never gives me a name. The answer is no all the time.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

And I just have to smile at him. \u201cYour guardian angel gave the name from the very, very beginning. What do you think that was?\u201d No. But because it wasn\u2019t something that he expected, it was hard for him to grasp it. But that day, he did grasp it and he said, \u201cHow could I have missed that? Why did I miss it?\u201d It doesn\u2019t have to be a name as a name we know.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tami Simon:<\/b> Now, Lorna, you\u2019ve mentioned that when you encounter people or you see someone on the street in the physical world, you see their guardian angel, with all people without question. What are you seeing? Small, big, colorful, behind them, in front of them, all over the place?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Lorna Byrne:<\/b> I suppose I better explain to you. When I was a child, I used to find it a bit much in that way, seeing a guardian angel in its full glory, as I call it, giving its full appearance. And other angels in and around at the same time.<\/span><\/p>\n

So they changed it so that I would just see the light of the guardian angel, but not see the physical appearance, unless there was something amiss. And then it\u2019s like angels are light. But then within that light, the angel would give an appearance. And angels are neither male nor female. And that\u2019s one thing I love about them. A guardian angel can give a female appearance, and I could meet my friend again a few months later, and this day it\u2019s giving a male appearance. It has opened up because of something that is wrong to tell me. But I would never tell the person that I know, because you have to be very careful and very, very gentle.<\/span><\/p>\n

I always remember on more than one occasion\u2026 I remember particularly, which moved me so much, was a little girl with her parents and her mom and dad. One was holding one hand of their daughter, and their daughter was in the middle. They were having fun going down the street, and I could see the light of the guardian angel behind each of them.<\/span><\/p>\n

And then suddenly, the light of the guardian angel behind the little girl opened up. And I was being told at that moment to pray and to ask not just for the little girl, but for mom and dad as well. I was told the little girl was actually sick, and God might be taking her home to heaven.<\/span><\/p>\n

And I always remember that love. It was like the love of her guardian angel, but the love of the parents as well. They were so open spiritually to, how would I say it? Their love was touching their little girl. It was very hard to describe.<\/span><\/p>\n

And even though I was on a bus, and it had slowed down, and they were passing, and the windows were closed, and there [were] people talking on the bus, I could hear the parents\u2019 voices talking to their little girl, and she laughing.<\/span><\/p>\n

I don\u2019t know whether God granted her the gift of life. But even today, I still pray for her in that way. Because when you think of something beautiful, it\u2019s a prayer as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sometimes it\u2019s hard when I\u2019m shown something, when I\u2019m asked to pray, or to pass them by, or in a sense to sit down, or to say hello. And that has happened millions of times.<\/span><\/p>\n

I might be out shopping or getting a few groceries, and the angels tell me, \u201cLorna, don\u2019t go home yet. Just go for a walk up the road.\u201d And they might say, \u201cSit down.\u201d And then all of a sudden someone comes and sits beside me. It could be a family. And it\u2019s like God and the angels allow a reaction to happen.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I could tell you many stories. One story I am allowed to tell, and that\u2019s because I got permission from the parents, is about Noah. And I have told it so many times.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Noah was a child of the age\u2014I think he was 11 going on 12 at the time. And I was in Germany doing a talk. I was on tour, and the hall was full. I think there [were] 700 people there or more. And I see this young boy walk in with his mom and another person. And straight away I said, \u201cOh God, I need to go over to him.\u201d And I was told no, ignore.<\/span><\/p>\n

Because of what I saw, I was a bit shocked that God had said ignore, the angel said ignore. But I gave the talk, the interview, and then it came to questions and answers. Loads of people asked questions and I answered them, and then suddenly this little boy stood up and everything changed. You could have heard a pin drop. You couldn\u2019t even hear anyone clear their throat. No one sneezed, no one coughed. Not even a piece of paper ruffled or anything like that.<\/span><\/p>\n

Because when he stood up, it\u2019s like the whole audience had eyes on him. And it was like as if for the first time, they see this child. And how they didn\u2019t see him before, to me, is a miracle, because this child was wired up. He was connected to a machine. He had this kind of special, how would you call it? It looked like a wire hat, but I don\u2019t think it was, with things connected. And he had a tube in him as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

And he stood there and he just said, \u201cLorna, I want to tell you my guardian angel is my best friend.\u201d And I knew that he would have something else. But he said, \u201cI have no question.\u201d And then he said, \u201cLorna, could you ask God for the gift of life?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

And it was like as if even the stillness, and the silence, and the love that was in that room, it even grew more. Because it was like as if the whole audience suddenly realized this child doesn\u2019t have the gift of life, but they have. I think that\u2019s something we all forget, that we have the gift of life.<\/span><\/p>\n

And of course, this young boy and his whole family spent time with us. That\u2019s what I do as well. I don\u2019t advertise it. But I remember the parents telling me on umpteen occasions, the doctors didn\u2019t realize or couldn\u2019t figure out how this young boy got an extra two years, and he had a great time. And of course, I give out to God for taking him home to heaven.<\/span><\/p>\n

But in the Sanctuary, here in Thomastown, we have this beautiful tree that had all this ivy out of it. And we had taken a photograph of Noah swinging out of the ivy around the tree, just enjoying himself, and just seeing that joy and that love. And now we call that tree Noah\u2019s Tree. It\u2019s in honor of Noah.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s to love and see where you can help, see where you don\u2019t judge. We need to stop judging. We need to allow that love that we have locked away inside of us, our soul, allow it to be free. Allow us to intertwine the human body and the soul, and become the most incredible spiritual beings that we are. Partly human and partly spiritual. Not having the human here and the spiritual here. Let\u2019s come together.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tami Simon:<\/b> One of the questions I have for you about our relationship, whether it\u2019s to our guardian angel or just angels in general, is you write about how we can ask for help, how they want to help us. They\u2019re standing by ready to go. And yet it seems, sometimes, angels swoop in and help us whether we ask or not. And other times, we ask and we don\u2019t get any help. It seems that way from the outside, from my experience at least.<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve heard some incredible stories from people who didn\u2019t ask for any help, but whose lives seem to be saved. Some angelic force took the steering wheel. Something like that. I\u2019ve heard stories; people tell them. And then I\u2019ve heard other stories from people who have prayed so hard, and nothing came. Nothing happened. And so I\u2019m curious what your view is of this.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Lorna Byrne:<\/b> What way will I put that? The thing is we have to remember\u2026 You don\u2019t have to remember. That\u2019s your choice. That\u2019s your free will. But you are a human being and a spiritual being. And at the moment of conception, the soul came at that moment, and so did your guardian angel.<\/span><\/p>\n

And I know lots of people would say they never asked. But I know we do ask spiritually when we are born, because a baby is pure love. It hasn\u2019t been contaminated in any way. I ask for millions of people around the world. I pray and ask for the help for millions of people that I don\u2019t even know their names. That\u2019s why I would say to people, you can pray and ask for your family and your friends and those you know. But would you do it for a stranger as well?<\/span><\/p>\n

So I believe that that\u2019s what is happening all of the time. Someone is already asking on behalf. And I know then you have where people say, \u201cI\u2019ve been praying and I\u2019ve been praying all the time, and nothing has changed.\u201d And that can be hard to understand.<\/span><\/p>\n

But it\u2019s like one student said to me one day, \u201cLorna, I\u2019ve been praying to my guardian angel and telling my guardian angel.\u201d They were saying as well, \u201cI believe my guardian angel will let me pass my exams.\u201d And I smiled at this young lady on this particular occasion, and I said, \u201cYou have to remember one thing as well. You\u2019ve got to do your work. Your guardian angel will help you, but you have to do your work.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

So I think sometimes what happens is someone is praying and asking, but they\u2019re not taking action as well. How can your guardian angel get a door to open for you if you are not out there asking for help as well, if nobody knows?<\/span><\/p>\n

And then some people would say to me, they prayed and prayed and asked for something to be sorted, some trauma they were going through or the whole family were going through. And they prayed and asked what they believed they wanted and needed. And then they would tell me, \u201cWell, that was ten years ago, but I\u2019m glad I didn\u2019t get it. Because where I am now is a million times better.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

I often say to God, it\u2019s like throwing the balls up in the air and catching them in your hands and getting the balance in your life. But I do believe every prayer is answered. And we\u2019re helped constantly. We just might not recognize it at the time. But if we think back\u2026 Because that would be something I would do with people as well, to think back, be silent, and think back on different situations in your life and recognize where in those situations you were helped. And it\u2019s amazing the way people, and even those that would say they were never helped, they come up with, \u201cI was helped.\u201d It\u2019s like when you\u2019re in a situation and you\u2019re praying and asking, sometimes it\u2019s hard for you to see.<\/span><\/p>\n

So I would just say, yes, you are helped even when you think you are not being helped. I\u2019d have to say that because I pray and I ask for so many people. And even during the pandemic here, I remember a young man, pretty young. Maybe he was only 14 at the time.<\/span><\/p>\n

And sometimes, I would see him passing my house. And I\u2019d see sometimes the light of his guardian angel opened up, and his guardian angel would tell me that \u201che\u2019s trying but not really trying hard enough. How can we help him?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

And then when the pandemic came, he changed in the sense of he started walking with his friends, and he started to get fitter and healthier. And I know that it\u2019s bad to say the pandemic caused this change. But maybe he somehow got the courage, was lacking in confidence and belief. Or maybe one of the other boys listened to his guardian angel and said, \u201cI\u2019m going to ask Tommy. Well, Tommy, come for the walk as well,\u201d in that way.<\/span><\/p>\n

And again, it\u2019s to allow things to unfold. You just say\u2014again, I know I had talked about a phone call. Your guardian angel is always putting thoughts into your head and positive ones. It never puts negative ones in whatsoever. And if you are thinking negatively, it would be your guardian angel that\u2019s putting the doubt in there. \u201cNo, that\u2019s not true.\u201d Or sometimes, I would say, giving you the guilty feeling in that way.<\/span><\/p>\n

And it is to listen and to, what would I say? Take a chance. You have nothing to lose, and life is precious. And it\u2019s exciting to grow spiritually, and to learn more, and discover you, yourself. It\u2019s like letting yourself free spiritually and discovering the human being that is there as well. The human being that, in a sense, you have chained up as well, because of what the world keeps telling you. That you\u2019re not to love yourself, or you\u2019re not to like that group of people, or you\u2019re to not show empathy, or you\u2019re not to reach out a helping hand. That\u2019s why I would say to people even a smile is so precious. And a smile can save someone\u2019s life.<\/span><\/p>\n

I always remember a lady on a train a long time ago, and I was sitting on the train. And the angels told me, \u201cJust look over in the corner.\u201d And I just turned and look and gave her a smile. And she was actually looking at me before I turned to look, and she saw me smiling. And how can I explain this? It was like, at first, she didn\u2019t know what to do with that smile. She didn\u2019t know whether to smile back or shy away. And in a sense, she did shy away at first. But then I went back to doing whatever I was doing on the train, and then I looked over again when the angels told me to, and I gave her another smile.<\/span><\/p>\n

And this time, she smiled back. And I always remember her getting off the train a stop before I got off. And it was like as if, how would you say? You lit up her day. She seemed happier and lighter in that way. So maybe that was the prayer being answered for her. The beginning of a prayer that maybe she had been praying for so long and felt she wasn\u2019t getting any help. And maybe the guardian angels of many other people were asking them to do the same, but maybe they had a barrier up and being told, \u201cNo, you don\u2019t smile at someone like that,\u201d in that way. So prayers do get answered. It\u2019s just, sometimes, we find it hard to see. And we expect them to be answered there and then.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tami Simon:<\/b> OK, Lorna, I have two final questions for you. Here\u2019s the first one. Do you have any suggestions for praying? I notice in immersing myself in your work a bit, I started feeling a little bit like a child asking for things as I was praying. And I was like, \u201cIs this really how I want to pray? I don\u2019t know if this is how I want to pray.\u201d So I\u2019m curious what your thoughts are about that.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Lorna Byrne:<\/b> Well, I am going to tell you right here and now that we have been praying, because we\u2019ve been talking about our soul and God and the angels and our guardian angel. And we\u2019ve been talking about love. So we have been putting that prayer out into the world to touch others.<\/span><\/p>\n

I just say to people, if you can, even for one second, your prayer is just a word, but you\u2019re saying it from every part of your being. From your soul, every part of you, in that way. And if you want to pray as you sing, just say you\u2019re happy and you\u2019re singing a song, but you\u2019re singing it with joy and love, that\u2019s a prayer. Meditation is a prayer. It\u2019s like one word crying out for help, asking for someone else, asking for yourself.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And I love the way you felt you were a child. I think that\u2019s absolutely, how would I say? A spiritual connection you are being given, because we are all\u2014even though we think we\u2019re adults, by the way, we\u2019re not. We\u2019re all children. And I love spiritually the way you had said that suddenly you felt you were a child. We are spiritually so innocent, and we have so many questions.<\/span><\/p>\n

One thing that I have learned is that when you ask one question, there\u2019s still a million questions to that one question. And there\u2019s still a million answers to that over and over again and again. But spiritually, it\u2019s just like acknowledging that we are not just a human being. We\u2019re a spiritual being. We have that soul, and you don\u2019t die. You live.<\/span><\/p>\n

And I know people find that crazy, or in a sense the children walking across the river without a bridge, and so many other things. But all these things are possible as we grow spiritually, because you become lighter. That\u2019s the only way. You are light. Your body is translucent. Everything is. Literally everything on this planet is translucent. I think that\u2019s the right word I\u2019m using.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tami Simon:<\/b> Yes. Yes, it is.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Lorna Byrne:<\/b> And one thing that God and the angels have always taught me, and that is one big word from the time I was a little child. Everything is beyond our comprehension. No matter how many questions, we\u2014it\u2019s like until that happens, and then we know everything, and then it\u2019s like our eyes are open. You\u2019re not just seeing through your human eyes; you\u2019re seeing through the eyes of your soul as well. It\u2019s like they\u2019re looking out in that way.<\/span><\/p>\n

And I don\u2019t even know if that\u2019s answering your question, either. But it\u2019s like, in one sense, medically I\u2019m not meant to be here. So I have partly intertwined, not fully. But partly, because I\u2019m still here. And I give out to God about that, because I know God is real. I know, how would I say? I can\u2019t wait. And my children would give out to me, they\u2019d say, \u201cMom, you\u2019re not to go.\u201d And I would say, \u201cWell, I don\u2019t mind when God takes me. I know you will all be all right. I know I mightn\u2019t be able to hug you with flesh and blood, but I\u2019d still be able to hug you. And I would always help you to feel me as well.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

We don\u2019t die. And it\u2019s like when that intertwining comes, again with the human being and the body, there is no such thing as death in the sense of human. But there is no such thing as death even now. But we\u2019re all connected spiritually. So it\u2019s like when one person takes their life before their time, we all feel it, even though we mightn\u2019t be aware of it. But it does affect us, because it\u2019s a soul that humanly was made to leave before its time. And the soul doesn\u2019t need to learn anything at all. It\u2019s the human being that is learning. I hope that\u2019s OK. I hope I didn\u2019t\u2014<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tami Simon:<\/b> Lorna, you said it well when you said one question leads to an answer, and then a million more questions, and a million more answers. That\u2019s true. And I\u2019m just going to ask you as part of this conversation, at least, one final question. Which is, that you said that the angels have shown you possibilities of the future: positive possibilities and also calamitous, difficult possibilities for humanity. And I think a lot of us are trying to get a sense of where we are right now as a human species and its evolutionary journey, and how much pressure we feel under, and the sense of crisis in our time. And I wonder if, briefly, you could just share how you see this period of time right now that we\u2019re in as a species from what the angels have shown you.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Lorna Byrne:<\/b> Another big question. I have to smile. We are in a time of change, and it is in a sense we have to make these choices. But it\u2019s not just in time of change of the human being. It\u2019s in time of change of growing more spiritually. It\u2019s both.<\/span><\/p>\n

I do know that we can get through all these cris[e]s. And I would say God wouldn\u2019t have me here. He would\u2019ve taken me home by now. So I know we can get through all of this. I think humanly, human beings are finding it hard to accept change. But we all have the choice and we shouldn\u2019t be afraid. And we should, in a sense, allow ourselves to just open that other little bit more. Even the tiniest bit more spiritually and accepting you have a soul, accepting that you\u2019re not just a human being, and not being fearful and afraid of positive changes.<\/span><\/p>\n

And again, we have to\u2014I\u2019m afraid it\u2019s not just up to one person to make changes or to decide these changes. Because even all the leaders of the world and the governments, to them it\u2019s a change as well. And they\u2019re finding it hard. \u201cWhich way should we go?\u201d So in a sense, we all have to help.<\/span><\/p>\n

So even spiritually and humanly, we have to take away the fear as much as possible and put the light in there, and ask and guide our leaders and governments to make the right decisions for everyone. For the planet, for nature, and for mankind as well. And I know we can do it, because I have seen incredible futures. So we can do it. And it\u2019s like each of us individually start within our lives.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So it\u2019s like don\u2019t be condemning all the time. I always say if you see someone being hurt, reach out and help them. Don\u2019t be worried about what other people think of you, because that won\u2019t bring change. It\u2019s like the more people see of kindness, of empathy, of love and hope, and even governments and leaders seeing that in their people, that will help us to make the positive changes that we need to make. And I believe we can. I wouldn\u2019t be here. What has God got me doing here if that\u2019s not going to happen? It\u2019s incredible what God has me doing already. And it\u2019s a miracle in the sense of how everything has turned out right up to this moment.<\/span><\/p>\n

And grant you, the pandemic is something that I was shown. And I never thought I would be here for it, but I am here for it. And we\u2019re getting through it. We\u2019re not fully through it, but we\u2019re getting through it.<\/span><\/p>\n

And again, it may look like it was a disaster. But just put this thought into your mind. It could be a miracle in disguise as well to help us to make the right changes, to help us to be more compassionate and loving to each other, and to take care of this beautiful planet that we\u2019ve been given for free. When you\u2019re given something for free, doesn\u2019t matter if it breaks. It doesn\u2019t matter if it follows the sun there.<\/span><\/p>\n

I know we can do it. That\u2019s what I will say. I know we can do it. You\u2019re a human being, but you\u2019re a spiritual being. And you have this incredible soul, and you have a guardian angel. The one angel that never leaves you for one second and loves you unconditionally no matter what. And to your guardian angel, you are number one. There is no one else in the world like you.<\/span><\/p>\n

And that\u2019s true for every human being. We are all different. And there is no one else in the world like you, or like me, or like anyone else out there. And it is, in a sense, to allow that intertwining and be you. Don\u2019t be trying to be anyone else. Be you.<\/span><\/p>\n
