This book is a game-changer. Not only does Loch Kelly describe our natural state as "awake awareness" he describes how to access this state easily and directly. No requirements for hours of daily meditation for years in order to achieve a transcendent state only a few can reach. Rather, Loch gives many simple exercises that offer "small glimpses" directly into our natural state. These "small glimpses" can be done anytime anywhere; so the simple practice of "small glimpses" many times allows me to experience myself as who I really am, not the "mini-me" in my head. And these practices are not only for myself to experience my own awake awareness; it is meant to flow through my heart to others as "open-hearted awareness." I recommend this book highly. I also recommend experiencing a retreat with Loch in person; he is the "real deal", he models what he teaches.

The most important book of our times.

I believe this is the most important book that I have ever read. Mr. Kelly has distilled and simplified the process of "enlightenment" into a set of exercises that will really allow you to directly experience the shift from ego based consciousness to a state of pure awareness. I have spent my whole life seeking a change in consciousness and to be honest I did not have the discipline to "follow" a spiritual tradition. I am so relieved to know that this does not have to be the case. I always suspected it could be simpler.

On the first day of starting to read the book and do the exercises, I experienced a strong shift. I have suffered from severe depression throughout my life so the shift was a definite and welcome contrast. I suggest you go to Youtube to utilize Loch's videos for the written exercises. He is not teaching theory here, this is experiential.

These techniques could change the world and could be taught to almost anyone. I want to say, thank you, Loch Kelly, your efforts have made a huge difference in my life.
