Years ago I owned this cd and am going to buy it again since I can't find it. But I have worked off and on with Shinzen style mindfulness and with Stephanie Nash his senior facilator and I have tried every type of meditation and approaches to mindfulness which are ALL good but I have never found any other method to really break through like Shinzen style mindfulness.

I will now buy this again and after years I have now come to conclusion that whatever else I do, I need to use these unique strategies. (Posted on March 3, 2015)

wonderful approach to start mindfulness practice - I have downloaded multiple sets from SoundsTrue, including Pema Chodron & Tara Brach, which are also wonderful, but I found this particular download particularly useful & very effective. (Posted on September 7, 2014)

The program "break Through Difficult Emotions" by Shinzen Young is definitely worth the money, I've had some results during the month that I've had it.

The program basically consists of 4 meditation exercises, the results are not immediate and the meditation exercises take consistent daily practice if you want to be able to handle difficult emotions in the future.

I've started noticing my old thought patterns that make me depressed and they lose momentum when I put my attention on them.

I have been practicing the meditation exercises for a month and I've already been meditating for two months prior to buying it, the progress for me has been subtle and slow but noticeable. I can notice when I become depressed and stop myself but this program isn't magic so don't expect any instant miracles.

I will continue practicing the meditations.
I happen to live in Israel and Shinzen Young is having a meditation retreat here soon, after the program introduced me to him I will go to learn more from him.

This mindfulness series by Shinzen is very helpful and the explanation/theory he gives first before the guided meditations is thourough. I have found this to be incredibly useful in dealing with emotional pain. (Posted on December 20, 2011)
