Sacred Sounds
Meditative Music from around the World

Explore the healing music traditions of five ancient cultures
Starting at:

On Sacred Sounds, Jorge Alfano draws upon the healing-music traditions of five ancient cultures: the chakra-based meditations of Hinduism; Chinese Taoist practices; Japanese Zen meditation from the Kinko school of Osaka; Native American Sioux shamanistic beliefs; and Inti meditation, a pre-Incan Andean system. Using indigenous flutes from each tradition, Alfano creates entrancing music that can serve as a guide to relaxation, meditation, and physical and spiritual well-being.

Born in Argentina, Jorge Alfano is a master flautist, ordained metaphysical minister, and clinical hypnotherapist.

"Sweet and meditative, Jorge's improvisations are varied, yet integrated, in that they all come back to the same peaceful spirit."
—G. S. Sachdev

Sacred Sounds has been the perfect accompaniment for the Tai Chi classes that I teach. The students love the meditative energy, and the flowing sounds are just right. (Posted on May 7, 2013)

Review for Sacred Sounds Review by Kerry Madden

I love listening to Jorge Alfano's Sacred Sounds as soon as I get home from work or turn off the light to go to sleep. I used to read for a short time, but find the music relaxing and great for de-stressing as I drift off to a night of pleasant dreams. (Posted on February 24, 2011)
