“When I took my first steps on the spiritual path,” says Tami Simon, “I was looking for answers to life’s greatest mysteries. Over time I learned that the best books and teachers pointed us inward—to our own experience—and that this is where we can find our greatest sense of aliveness and purpose.” On Being True, the founder of Sounds True distills essential lessons learned from 30 years of exploring the edge where spiritual wisdom meets the challenges of work, life, and love. Join her for four intimate sessions on:

  • Being true as a process—five keys for living in integrity
  • Spirituality in action—how we can apply our highest values in the workplace and in our relationships
  • Her most transformative encounters with spiritual teachers

Sounds True listeners and followers of the Insights at the Edge podcast series have heard Tami introducing and interviewing leading voices in spirituality, science, and creativity. Now she speaks to you directly as a fellow traveler on the journey—sharing her most valuable insights on honoring your inner imperatives in the real world, meeting setbacks with an open heart, and remaining alive to the inner voice that always encourages each of us to “be true.”

What a wonderful woman, and a great platform Sounds True is. There's so many great teachers here, and I have been a member for a year or two now. A great place to come and relax with some wonderful material. God bless you all, peace, and respect.

True but Untested Review by womanofthedeepwild

Rating

In the school of life, Tami is like an excited kindergarten pupil who’s gotten a gold star and praise from all her teachers, and now has the confidence to impart wisdom to those who are going through the arduous process of getting their PHDs.

It is obvious this woman has not gone through the dark night of the soul, and thus has spiritual wisdom in theory only. If you find that useful or inspiring, and have not gone through the dark night either, then her wisdom will speak to you. Those who have gone through the dark night of the soul will find her wisdom does not apply to their own experience.

Only when you have been tested by the worst tempests of life will you know whether you can actually continue Being True, and live up to the wisdom you have learned. There is no other way. As more people start weathering such tempests, these kinds of theoretical teachings will have less and less relevance. Only the school of life will remain relevant.

Wow! Review by Siba

I am an aid worker in a country where people struggle just to provide the bare minimun for their families and live in constant fear of violence... I had not expected to find this so helpful in such different circunstances as the ones Tami talks about... but I found her words wonderfully wise and helpful. Thank You Sounds True- your voice reaches further than you know... (Posted on October 11, 2016)

Beautiful, powerful, and validating. Review by Julia

Though I've never met her, I have profound respect for Tami Simon. I've ordered products from Sounds True for many years and am delighted to have this opportunity to know more about its founder. In this CD Tami tells the powerful, true story of her life and how she discovered and practices the path of integrity. I found myself relating to and hanging on her words. The pureness of her path of integrity shines through her telling, and I delighted to find both inspiration and validation in the listening. Tami is extremely gifted in her ability to distill the essence of universal spiritual practices she's gleaned in her personal journey. She bestows them upon the listener in a relevant, powerful, beautiful presentation that models Being True even in the telling of her journey and the extremely helpful tools she has been blessed to discover. Brilliant Review by Annie

I loved every minute of listening to this series. Tami, I have long admired your quiet and eloquent introductions at retreats I have attended and love Sounds True and all it offers, but to hear your stories and insights and wisdom on Being True was SO WONDERFUL. And I mean FULL OF WONDER. I had to keep stopping along my walk to take notes and want to go back and listen again and again. Like all TRUE insights, they can bear listening to over and over and still feel fresh and insightful. Thank you for sharing your beautiful, REAL, humble insights with us. You are an inspiration. Soothing voice. Grounded message. Review by Alisa

So much wisdom distilled down into primary lessons that only experience can offer. Tami synthesizes this wisdom into a a soothing guidance of how life unfolds, perfectly imperfect and exactly as we need to become authentically who we really are. Do we dare?
Beautiful and brave. Thank you. (Posted on May 16, 2016)
