When we gather in ceremony—to welcome a newborn, celebrate a marriage, or bid farewell to those we’ve lost—we are fully present to our experience and in touch with the deep meaning that feeds our souls. Imagine how our lives might change if we brought the same loving attention to every “ordinary” moment. This is the invitation of A Ceremony Called Life.

For anyone searching for a greater sense of purpose and connection, Tehya Sky deconstructs our most common spiritual ideas and empowers us to participate whole-heartedly in the magic and mystery of our human incarnation. With insights from her own journey, informed by the wisdom of her beloved teacher, life, Sky explores:

  • Recalibrating our vision of spirituality and living in alignment with our heart’s truth
  • Moving through the obstacles that keep us feeling separate from the Divine
  • Embodying our sacred nature as both Creator and Created
  • Discovering the miraculous through the mundane
  • Engaging all of life as the spiritual practice

“Every day is a rite of passage, gifting us endless opportunities to know ourselves better, see more clearly, love more fully, and create the good visions of our lives,” writes Sky. Join the celebration with A Ceremony Called Life.

I feel beautiful and would recommend everyone buy this book Review by Joshua

Rating

This book is the one I've been looking for my entire life. It hit on many different levels, answered many questions, and presents ideas & ways of thinking I never knew. Being present, capturing the mind, working through pain, etc... Tehya even convinced me I'm not a loser nor am I a failure at life, I'm only learning, as we all are.

I feel beautiful and would recommend everyone buy this book. We are all beautiful and this book, Tehya Sky, helps you remember that.

Namaste. (Posted on December 27, 2016)

I was instantly drawn to this book as in recent years I have attended and held many ceremonies. I love the way that Tehya so easily explains and reminds us that all of a life is a ceremony. This book has so many beautiful messages within it that are in fact gentle reminders. We may know this in our hearts and through our veins but Tehya captures it brilliantly and is able to take a light-hearted view on so many facets of every day life. I absolutely love the feel to which Tehya writes, it helps me take away my burdens and heaviness and replace it in the moment with a smile. I am now able to look at past challenges and learnings in a new light, and hear her words when facing new hardship talk me through and allow me to just allow it to be. Thank you Tehya for sharing your wisdom and magic! (Posted on August 31, 2016)

Spirituality is for EVERYONE! Review by Christopher

Rating

What I love about this book is that it's not your typical book on spirituality. Yes, it contains spiritual guidance for a society in need of letting go, but what Tehya Sky illuminates in her book is how practical spirituality is. To Tehya, spirituality is not something for some people, or that spirituality is to be done in such-and-such a manor. The author shows us how spirituality is the perpetual experience of living an awakened life. She shows us how to be bravely aware, but most importantly, she teaches us how to let go of limiting beliefs. Humbly, those limiting beliefs may be the supposed evolved new-aged beliefs about "how to live a spiritual life." However, Tehya, through her easy-to-read and often times poetic book, helps the reader step into their awakened self and teach us to let go of the expectations we place on ourselves on what it is to be awakened. Thus, through humble engagement with our experience we become who we truly are.

The book is well organized and easy to read. It contains enjoyable passages of experience and expressions of poetry. For the person who wants help engaging with the world, with both the mundane and the profound, this is the book for you. It is obvious the author herself has walked the walk and not just talked the talk. I highly recommend this book.

Full of Universal Truths and Life-Changing Wisdom Review by Liz

An avid reader, I picked up Sky's book at a time when I found myself putting down many others. Captivated by the beautiful writing and timeless quality of the information conveyed, I devoured and savored this read. The book is full of high wisdom, defining the fundamentals of what I would consider to be the most elemental, yet profound spiritual truths in existence. Sky's ability to explain the simple profundity of these concepts is quite admirable and the message is delivered with purity and grace. This is a book I will read and receive from many more times <3 (Posted on August 17, 2016)

Brilliant. Not your average 'spiritual' book. Review by Patricia

Let me start by saying I absolutely LOVED this book and cannot recommend it enough!!! I literally couldn’t put it down, and looked forward to coming home to curl up and soak in the gorgeous writing. I have already bought copies for friends and family because I don't even want to loan my copy to anyone.

In the simplest terms, her writing channels the deep reminder of the profound truth of our being and nature, in a time when the spiritual lifestyle seems to be for sale to the highest bidder. Like a great yoga class, the chapters seamlessly lead you deeper and deeper into yourself, until at last you are laying in final resting pose, soaking in the full experience of stillness and life.

This book is so much more than your typical ‘spiritual guidance’ book. It took me on a deep journey, holding space to let go and soak in the light, shifts, and miracles it carries. Several chapters literally ‘clicked’ some things I had been struggling with for years into place, as if by magic.

The author has a true gift for taking ‘spiritual’ concepts - think duality, the mind, ego, emotions, etc - and putting them into fresh and beautifully-languaged insights so that they can absorb deeply and in a new way. I not only ‘aha-ed’ in agreement, but also in wonderment at what she would profoundly put into easy, digestible words. I even had a friend with no background in spirituality pick up my copy and order one after reading just one chapter!

I really can’t recommend this book enough. I felt like through these words I received a profound gift, that has shifted me into a deeper and more complete embracing and trust of myself and life. I can’t wait to see what else Tehya Sky shares with the world! (Posted on June 29, 2016)
