Review for The Nonviolent Communication Training Course Review by Jane M

I can't tell you how impressed I am with Marshall Rosenberg's work. I think I now have all of his materials that you offer. His work offers more concrete hope for peace on earth than anything else I have found. It works, life by life. The product under review here, the NVC Course, is, in addition to Marshall's clear, excellent presentation of his subject, beautifully packaged, with a balance of materials, to be heard, read and practiced

Review for The Nonviolent Communication Training Course Review by Mary Ann Holtz

I've been studying Nonviolent Communication for over a year and part of a NVC practice group for several months. I believe that this CD set provides an excellent summary of this valuable path of transforming consciousness and developing a powerful skill-set. I feel grateful for Marshall's work and Sounds True's making it available to a wide audience because I value peacemaking, experiencing our interconnectedness, and clarity of communication.
As a psychotherapist I also appreciate the opportunity to earn Continuing Ed credits.

Review for The Nonviolent Communication Training Course Review by Ruth Mary Hall

Rosenberg is a PhD clinical psychologist who found that many traditional therapy techniques weren't helping patients. He created these simple but incredibly profound and effective techniques. This course was recommended to me by a friend in Berlin, Germany, who is a professional mediator. I was extremely impressed with it. Rosenberg's thesis is that every expression of violent communication (judgment, criticism, anger, rejection, etc) is the tragic expression of an unmet need. By finding and sharing the underlying need which is not being met in any dispute, Rosenberg's techniques help bring resolution. For example, he had a marital couple with a 38-year dispute that he resolved in 20 minutes by unearthing the unmet needs and getting the couple away from well-worn expressions of judgment, wrong assumptions and criticism. He has worked in prisons and schools, family courts, between gangs and police, in international and tribal disputes. This is the most valuable course I have heard in at least ten years and I'm on my third listening of some sections. We can all benefit from it.
