This is a great course if you are interested in mindfulness and meditation. It also offers the opportunity to look at yourself with a new vision of coming to terms with the past and preparing for a hopeful future.
Skills that are taught that will be tools to use in your everyday life, stories to laugh at, and new ways to view your life and your potential.
I have read many of Jack Kornfield's books. There were repeated stories and techniques, but I enjoyed this format.
I would have liked more of the group meetings. There were not always opportunities for everyone in the group to share. I am sorry that the course is coming to an end. Possibly a group could elect to continue a longer relationship? (Posted on January 26, 2017)

Healing potential Review by Ghassan
This course is a great resource for anyone looking for emotional healing. First, it allowed me to structure my daily meditation practice like nothing else. Second, the course allowed me to have the experiential understanding of what it means to connect to embodied experiences of challenging emotions (a skill which is the root to emotional healing), and to having a compassionate choice when it comes to life challenges. Finally, it established my Dharma society of team members from my mentoring group as we plan to stay connected after the course has finished.

I looked forward to my class videos each of the seven weeks. Great reminders: through embodiment that we have a portal to all healing, and that our body is a sacred place of awakening-that we acknowledge our feelings, they become more spacious-that our thoughts are real but not true-RAIN, the power of self compassion-Lovingkindness, self compassion,Forgiveness-Tonglen-Tara & Jack are fabulous teachers and it was great to hear them again-I took a daylong course with them years ago in NYC. I really appreciated the quotes from others that they included in their teachings. There were some great ones. Having read many of Jack's books and listened to many Dharma talks by him and a few by Tara I signed up for this course. I am an experienced practitioner. These lectures and practices are presented in a progressive way which will train the inexperienced and remind the experienced of the patience, ritual and benefit of daily practice. I downloaded video of the classes and the audio of all of the guided meditations. The journaling and mentoring is helpful to many I'm sure. I did not participate in journaling and attended two mentoring sessions which were helpful. These teachers are very powerful in their awareness and embodiment of the practices. Highly recommended. I am truly grateful for Tara and Jack for putting this course together and offering it online. With my meditation background this was a welcome review on one hand, but also provided a number of new ways of looking mindfully into experience in the moment.
