A recent New York Times/NBC poll found that over 23% of Americans practice yoga, meditation, or some form of stress reduction every day. What if there was a way to gain the benefits of these practices in a single, proven method?
Tibetan Energy Yoga does just that. This simple and revitalizing whole-body system began over 10 centuries ago when the yogis of India first brought their secret techniques north to Tibet. From this meeting, the Tibetan lamas weaved together Indian yoga with their own principles of mind training, and created a powerful new set of energy exercises found in no other spiritual tradition.
On Tibetan Energy Yoga, respected meditation teacher Lama Surya Das guides us through eight of Tibetan yoga's most effective exercises to master the two vital currents of the body: our solar and lunar energies, as they are known in traditional Tibetan medicine. Originating from the Vajrayana (lightning or diamond ) path of Tibetan Buddhism, these practices are meant to benefit users in minutes, not lifetimes, and to generate a pleasurable boost of energy the moment we begin using them.
Now, in one exhilarating 30-minute session, here is a way for anyone from complete beginners to seasoned yoga practitioners to calm and balance the nervous system, improve breathing, sharpen mental awareness, and restore a healthy and harmonious flow to the dual energy system of the body, with Tibetan Energy Yoga. Includes an 11-page study guide.

Rare Opportunity Review by Bertrand
Amazing introduction to Tummo, the preliminary practice of the the Six Yogas of Naropa. Easily accessible, yet profound in its effect (cleansing subtle channels, increasing energy, stabilizing the mind). A must as a preliminary to your mediation practice. (Posted on December 28, 2014)

Lama Surya Das explained very well in an enthusiastic manner. I was a little disappointed in the content of what was presented. Fairly basic stuff that seemed like it should have been an introduction to something more profound. (Posted on March 23, 2012)
Review for Tibetan Energy Yoga Review by Eric Dumas
I have to be a bit hard on this one as I as sucked right in thinking there would be some kind of a workout, a bit like the 5 Tibetans or something along those lines. Now, if what you are looking for is Pranayama type of stuff with alternate nostril breathing and stuff like that, then it might be for you... though it is fairly basic... be warned. If you were looking for some basic yoga routine tibetan style, there is nothing here for you. Don't get me wrong, I can take a joke from Lama Surya Das who I always find cool and entertaining. In the video, he does what he needs to do... however I think the marketing folks failed to emphasize that this is pure breathing material. (Posted on March 18, 2012)

Review for Tibetan Energy Yoga Review by Tai Kan Kogen
At 66 yrs old I am interested in cultivating my innate energy in a healthy natural way. Therefore I have been practicing along with Lama Surya Das each morning before going to the gym.
This Tibetan version of Pranayama is a terrific way to get centered and to bring up your Ki in an exhilarating way
minus the highs and lows of stimulants. It seems to consolidate everything that needs it and gives me a happy focus to my attention. What's not to like here? Do yourself a favor and enjoy this short but highly effective routine with an obviously very happy American Lama. (Posted on April 11, 2010)
