Their words, energized by deep personal experience, will lead both novice and experienced practitioner into deeper states of peace, insight, and awakening.

“The ancient wisdom of yoga has much to offer a world that seems to have lost its center. These guided exercises, based on the teachings of the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers, offers a place to begin the journey back to self and unity. Controlling your breath, posture, and your ability to relax and concentrate will lead you to a place of stillness, limitless power, and bliss.”
—Swami Srinivasananda, Director of the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers

Swami Srinivasananda found his guru and yoga master Swami Vishnu-devananda at the Sivananda headquarters in Val-Morin, Canada, in 1977. He has been the director of the Val-Morin, Paris, and Los Angeles Sivananda Centers. Since 1994, he has served as the Acharya, or senior teacher, for New York, Chicago, and the Sivananda centers of the eastern region of the US. He also acts as the American editor of Yoga Life magazine. He currently resides at the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Ranch in Woodbourne, New York.
