Narrated by Dr. Stephen Wolinsky, Consciousness and Beyond offers you a chance to discover Nisargadatta’s final and most profound teachings in two unique ways.

First, we present the relationship of Nisargadatta Maharaj’s teachings to some of the most extraordinary gurus and teachers the world has known.

Next, the rarely discussed and most profound teaching of Nisargadatta is discussed in depth for the first time. He stands alone in stating that who we are is prior to the I Am, and even prior to and beyond consciousness itself.

This extraordinary statement by Nisargadatta Maharaj has the power to propel a seeker into a taste of the Absolute. This most unique pointer directs an aspirant into the Eternal Absolute, the Primordial Advaita that can only be realized when consciousness itself is appreciated as “not this, nor this.”

Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

About Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj (given name: Maruti) worked as a simple bidi seller in Mumbai (known formerly as Bombay), but was considered by many to be an enlightened being and a spiritual master. Maharaj was world-renowned and admired for his direct and informal teachings. He is widely considered to be one of the 20th century's most articulate communicators of the Hindu Advaita Vedanta, or nondualism. He was uniquely successful in making such previously diffuse ideas accessible to both Eastern and Western minds. Although he had a Hindu background and upbringing, Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj's teachings are free from cultural and religious trappings.

Review for Consciousness and Beyond

Listening about this renoun teacher through the

narrator was disappointing. The visuals were pleasing.

I just had a hard time getting past the narrator's

ego.

I would have appreciated a heads up in this product's

description regarding his contribution and who he was.

Really do love most everything you offer. Thanks,Cheryl Dickason

Review for Consciousness and Beyond

This is a thought-provoking video, beautifully shot in India. It's the fourth I believe in a series by Neti Neti films. The narrator takes us to Sri Nisa M's house, with memories back to being with the guru on his birthday, and footage from his teaching sessions. We then go on a journey along the river... seeing people wash in the water and worship at shrines. The narrator summarises SN Maharaj's teachings pictures, sitar music and spaciousness of the film help the messages get through. I know a bit about Sri N M's teaching - using the "I am not that" self enquiry method. But this went into further levels of understanding. I will want to watch it several times. And also watch some earlier videos from the series first. I was surprised that is a relatively small file that I think took less than 30 minutes to download - and yet the picture quality is pretty good even though it's 1 h4 45 minutes-ish.
