About Joan Borysenko
Joan Borysenko, PhD, is a cancer cell biologist, a licensed psychologist, and a yoga and meditation instructor. A cofounder and former director of the Mind/Body Clinic at New England Deaconess Hospital, she has also taught at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Borysenko is a pioneer in the emerging medical field of psychoneuroimmunology. She lives in Colorado and is the author of the New York Times bestseller Minding the Body, Mending the Mind. A Woman’s Spiritual Retreat is a useful and practical woman’s guide for discovering, expanding, and creating your own unique style of spiritual expression to compliment your current traditional practices or to create a practice that is uniquely your own. The sessions are organized in a way that allows for both shorter or longer retreats, depending on your situation. Likewise, Borysenko also includes useful advise for creating a practice that is meaningful and doable in a busy and time starved lifestyle. Intelligent. A very well prepared retreat, with the right pauses for meditation and beautiful stories. A pleasant, warm and interesting journey into the feminine, unfolding the forgotten women's inner beauty and stimulating communication and comprehension.
