Encoded within your body, teaches Caroline Myss, is an energy system linking you directly to the world's great spiritual traditions. Through it, you have direct access to the divine energy that seamlessly connects all life. On Anatomy of the Spirit, Myss offers a stunning picture of the human body's hidden energetic structures, while revealing its precise spiritual code and relationship to the sacred energy of creation.
Our most revered wisdom traditions, including Judaism, Christianity, and Hinduism, hold in common essential teachings about seven specific levels of spiritual development, the stages of power in life. These seven great truths also grace the human body as an energetic system, a spiritual compass pointing the way to the divine. By honoring this inborn code, you can learn to see the symbolic blocks within your energy centers and their correlations with your health, relationships, and spiritual development.
Richly interwoven with research, examples, and self-diagnostic guidelines, Anatomy of the Spirit will take you to the heart of the spiritual life and beyond.

This book changed my life!!! Review by ILuvGoldDogs
I bought this book in 1996 when it was first published. Never had I ever read a book such as this. To this day, it is still one of my absolute all time favorites.
The information is indisputably accurate. How do I know this beyond my own personal experience? As a RN, in the past 20+ years since Anatomy of the Spirit has been published, I have taken thousands of medical histories on my patients. This book 'unlocked' something inside me which has enabled me to absorb and filter information on a level I never knew could be possible. For example, from time to time peers have asked me how I knew to ask very specific and sometimes very personal questions they would never consider asking a patient which have resulted in zeroing in on root of the patient's problem. This skill did not appear until after reading and applying what I learned from this book.
With that being said, I have recommended this book to several people. Here are some observations I've made which would be beneficial to keep in mind:
1--People who are extremely left-brained, logical thinkers do not 'get' this book. It makes absolutely no sense to them.
2--If you do not write down the answers to the questions at the end of the chapters, you're likely to not experience any results.
It was my personal experience after I had written the answers to the questions at the end of the chapters, massive processing began. Anything and everything related to the questions and their answers bubbled to the surface. Events would happen in day to day life related to these issues, vivid dreams--you name it. When they finished processing, I would move to the next chapter.
3--This is not the type of book one can sit down and read from cover to cover non-stop and get much out of it.
4--Some people have been brainwashed their entire lives to believe any idea they've not been taught in church will send them straight to hell. I find this particularly tragic. As far as I have ever known, the devil isn't in the business of making people's lives healthy and whole.

What a rich gift! Review by Lar
I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on books and tapes and seminars over the last 25 years.
Nothing I have experienced to date comes close to the information Caroline presents here with Anatomy of the Spirit, nor the value I place on the knowledge she so eloquently shares.
If you want to know how to utilize the gift of your own innate Spirit, get this CD. You are going to want to listen to it again and again.
Buy two because your going to want to share it also with all your friends and loved ones.
What a rich gift! (Posted on November 27, 2015)

Review for Anatomy of the Spirit Review by A M
Anatomy of the Spirit is a dense content book, so much so that I couldn't read more than a page at times in order to process the content - and I'm no simpleton. Since it was taking so long to read, I thought the audiobook would be a worthwhile investment. While there is valuable information in the audio version, I realized that a considerable amount of content was missing. If Sounds True is selling abridged audiobooks, customers should be told. I don't recall there being any information stating that the Anatomy of the Spirit audio was abridged. (Posted on September 22, 2012)
