Another great from Caroline, who teaches us how to be realistic, neither overly optimistic nor pessimistic.
For those of us who suffered because we were just being "hopeful" too much in a wrong, airy-fairy way, Caroline's down-to-earth teachings feel like a breath of fresh air. Too much self-absorption ("narcissism," according to Caroline on these CDs) will lead us to nowhere and eventually will bite us back in a painful way. Her suggestion to snap out of it and then become an active crew member of a group of people who help each other to build a better world really resonated with me.
Thank you, Caroline. I so love your no-nonsense, drill-sergeant teaching style. You have helped me to keep grounded on this cold, black earth no matter what may come and to become a responsible person for my own life.

I was HOPING for more substance
I enjoy some of Caroline's work. This meandered, and I wondered when she'd get to the meat of the issue. Oh, Caroline, I HOPED for better. I really did!

If I can get my money back for this one I will. I have followed Caroline's work for some time and I know that she can be acerbic, it's not always easy to hear what we need to hear, but there is no hope here. This should be called navigating cynicism with disdain.
