Few people understand the source of will power. Will is the inner power created by the focusing of consciousness, and the way we use it determines whether we become trapped in ego or awakened spiritually. By using our will to resist experiences, we create samskaras that block our natural flow of energy and keep us identified with our personal self. The highest expression of will is to consciously relax, allow life to pass through without resistance, and ultimately surrender personal will to the divine will.

Michael A. Singer is author of the #1 New York Times bestseller The Untethered Soul and the New York Times bestsellers The Surrender Experiment and Living Untethered, all of which are published worldwide. He had a deep inner awakening in 1971 while working on his doctorate in economics and went into seclusion to focus on yoga and meditation.
