About Richard C. Schwartz

Richard C. Schwartz, PHD, earned his PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy from Purdue University, and coauthored with Michael Nichols Family Therapy: Concepts and Methods, the most widely used family therapy text in the United States. Compassionate Inquiry vs IFS

It's wonderful to have access to such knowledge, to receive the opportunity to follow the talks between Dr Gabor Maté and Richard C. Schwartz, to see them working with people and immediately, you notice the difference, after a few questions, people change, you can see it!

Dr Gabor Maté discover with his Compassionate Inquiry approach, why the person is suffering, and he really helps this person, it's a kind of 'Magic'

Dr Gabor Maté, change my life with a few words, I'm suffering many traumas in my childhood and adult life, he gives me the hope that I can find my true essence back, it's not lost, it's in me, waiting to be rediscovered.

I'm deeply grateful for the course Embracing All of You

Embracing All of You

Beautifully runned by Tami Simon.

I will end up embracing Gabor Maté's approach to Embracing Inquiry. Deep, the inquiry seems effecacious way of approaching patients, his Compassive way, his explanations about biological needs, and the conceptualization of adaptations. I had the felt sense of be doing an adult approach, nothing to do with Parts that come to life with us. I used to practice IFS and even though I used to be adapted to the model, ended up needing more of tangible stuff.

Kind regards

Olaf Holm
