About Jack Kornfield

Jack Kornfield, PhD, trained as a Buddhist monk in Thailand, Burma, and India and has taught worldwide since 1974. He is one of the key teachers to introduce Buddhist mindfulness practices to the West. He holds a PhD in clinical psychology and is the co-founder of the Insight Meditation Society and of Spirit Rock Center in Woodacre, California. He has written more than a dozen books including The Wise Heart; A Path With Heart; After the Ecstasy, the Laundry; and more.

Jack Kornfield`s" Meditation for Beginners", is great for beginners and those who practice everyday.His guidance through meditation from start to finish helps to introduce you to proper mindfulness. I can listen to this man all day, his voice and instructions are so calming,he has helped me to meditate a little easier and to calm my thoughts.

This cd was for my daughter who wanted to start meditation. I thought of introducing her with the teaching ofJack Kornfield.

His books and articles on mindfulness have been such a help. An excellent teacher who has the gift of making the most profound teaching approachable. Meditation for Beginners is just right giving the confidence needed to continue to meditate.
