Oh get Richard Rohr OUT OF THE ROOM!
I'm four hours in and thinking this is a fantastic platform - if only Russ had been lecturing alone. Richard Rohr rants about politics and god knows what (who can keep up? who cares to?), and religionises non-stop, he talks about himself nonstop - in a completely indulgent way (if you are an enneagram 1, as he is, you'll probably feel you got your money's worth here because he talks incessantly about himself under the guise of describing ones) - he rants and rants about nothing to do with the enneagram, and condescendingly (iMH) refers to his audience (i consider myself his audience) as "brothers and sisters" - I get that he's a priest, or something, but just STOP patronising us please... and generally he just absolutely railroads Russ's terrific, concise, considered, thoroughly contemplated, deeply probing insights into how we humans might move from program/conditioned-mind living to liberation/grace. I'm not saying Richard doesnt bring some keen insights he does - but there is bulk verbage padding around them, and I'd far prefer Russ to be holding the floor. (or that might just be because i'm a 5 like Russ, so I dig his style ;-) I jest, I think Russ seems far less in his program/number type than Richard does - Richard screams 'disintegrated one' to me, the entire time... I'm gonna keep listening though bc Russ is worth hearing. His insights are pure gold.
