Through a Dog's Ear™—A Clinical Breakthrough in the Use of Music for Dogs

In March 2008, Music to Calm Your Canine Companion, Vol. 1, was released to tremendous professional and public acclaim. This third volume expands your canine music library. The music of the Through a Dog's Ear: Music to Calm Your Canine Companion series has been clinically tested to calm dogs, and in many cases, reduce anxiety. The instrumentation is simple—solo piano. The individual pieces have been selected and or arranged to gradually reduce the heart rate to calm levels. This is accomplished naturally by progressively slowing rhythms and simplifying auditory data. Tested on 150 dogs in shelters, clinics, and homes, the psychoacoustically designed piano music of Through a Dog's Ear reduces canine anxiety behaviors twice as effectively as conventional classical music.

Music from Calm Your Canine Companion, Vols. 1–3 is interchangeable and recommended for when you want your dog to rest, when your dog is left alone, or when anxiety or excitement in your dog is anticipated—such as with thunderstorms, fireworks, or the arrival of guests. People will also find it to be deeply relaxing; for this reason please don't operate heavy machinery or drive when listening.

How Through a Dog's Ear helped with common behavioral issues:

Excessive Barking:"Our two Rhodesian Ridgebacks wrestle and bark constantly. My fiancée is at home sick with a nasty migraine today. I just played Calm your Canine for the first time and within minutes the barking stopped and all three are now cuddling on the couch. Priceless!"
—J.W., Liberty, MO

Thunderstorms:"Our German Shorthair was so afraid of storms. I now play Calm Your Canine for him and our 4-legged family members as often as I can! Let me say, these CDs are wonderful!"
—P.M., Hampton, IL

Alleviating Stress:"Your music has been a godsend for our St. Bernards! One has a seizure disorder. I used a pheromone plug-in for a while, but the music has been the BEST thing we've ever had. It helps alleviate stress for all of us during seizures."
—J.B., Bangor, ME

Review for Through a Dog's Ear

Easy to download, and the music really seems to work. I know it sounds a bit hocus pocus but my dog is less anxious being in the house alone. Thanks Mr Leeds!

Review for Through a Dog's Ear

My dog recently suffered a major epileptic seizure and was very disorientated and unsettled following it. We put on this CD and she finally relaxed enough to go to sleep.

We were grateful for the calming effects it had on her!

I'm not sure my dogs enjoy it as much as I do.
