Dan Millman

Dan Millman is a former world champion athlete, elite gymnastics coach, martial arts instructor, and college professor. In 1985, after an intensive, 20-year spiritual quest, Dan began teaching the Peaceful Warrior's Way, expressed fully in his books and lectures. His work continues to evolve to address the needs of an ever-changing world. His 17 books, including Way of the Peaceful Warrior, have inspired and informed millions of readers in 29 languages worldwide. The feature film Peaceful Warrior, starring Nick Nolte, was adapted from Dan Millman’s first book and is based upon incidents from his life. His most recent book is The Hidden School, which completes the Peaceful Warrior saga. Much of his time is devoted to writing and teaching. His keynotes, seminars, and workshops appeal to men and women across all generations and from all walks of life, including leaders in the fields of health, psychology, education, business, politics, sports, entertainment, and the arts. Dan and his wife Joy live in Brooklyn, New York. They have three grown daughters and four grandchildren.
