Lani Leary
Lani Leary, Ph.D. is a psychotherapist, teacher, and caregiver. Dr. Leary received her Ph.D. from George Mason University, where she also taught as an adjunct professor. She was drawn to her work as a healer and teacher after a near-death experience awakened her own healing potential. Over the past 18 years she has served as a hospital chaplain, and at six hospices nationwide providing pain management and psychotherapy for patients and their families. Trained as a thanatologist, Dr. Leary has companioned over 500 people in the final stage of life. For the past three years, she has taught a popular workshop on healing hands at the Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, New York.
