Father Thomas Keating draws from over 60 years of study and prayer as a Trappist monk in sharing the wisdom of 20 centuries of the contemplative Christian tradition. Best out anywhere for introduction to the true goal of the Christian spiritual journey

I have listened to this for perhaps decades ( or close to it ) as I sold was one of the first bookshops to sell Sounds True on the East Coast in the 1990s . Thomas Keating can open the eyes to those believing they know Christianity ( pro or con) and possibly open one to a whole new world of actual direct experience with a power MUCH greater than themselves. I highly recommend listening to it over and over .

Highest quality spirituality and wisdom

Father Keating bases his teaching on the interpretation of Chistianism. This open-minded man is not austere, and can be funny. Essentially, I feel wrapped into intelligence and live when I eat his voice.

I found this cd to be very affirming.

My response is a deep whisper of "yes". Had been introduced to centering prayer in October 2014. After listening to this CD, I am convinced that this is what I have been looking for my entire life. At 66, this has been no small quest, and I have taken many detours. I am very grateful for this teaching and practice.
