About Jack Kornfield

Jack Kornfield, PhD, trained as a Buddhist monk in Thailand, Burma, and India and has taught worldwide since 1974. He is one of the key teachers to introduce Buddhist mindfulness practices to the West. He is the co-founder of the Insight Meditation Society and of Spirit Rock Center in Woodacre, California. He is a husband, grandfather, and activist and holds a PhD in clinical psychology. A trusted comforting friend

To me these meditations have become like a trusted, comforting friend with open arms, that I can turn to as often as I need. They have provided solace, guidance and abundant loving kindness during one of the most challenging times of my life, when I have often felt alone, out of my depth and overwhelmed with complex health issues.

I appreciate the range of different meditations that accompany me on journeys where I discover glimpses of my own wisdom, peace and healing that continue to develop and reveal growing inner strengths.

These meditations are a treasure and a blessing for which I am truly grateful.
