Native American-inspired practices for tapping the spirit world for wisdom and healing.
Full Description

In Native American tradition, everything has a spirit—even an illness or injury. “If we know how to listen,” teaches Dr. Lewis Mehl-Madrona, “our health issues will often reveal the secret to their own healing.”

On Native American Healing Meditations, Dr. Mehl-Madrona offers insights and practices to help you access the healing power of the spirit world. Drawing from his experience as both a medical doctor and a lifelong student of traditional Cherokee and Lakota medicine, he presents four guided practices based on indigenous wisdom:

  • Finding Your Spirit Guide—calling upon your unseen allies and ancestors for protection, guidance, and healing energy
  • Heroic Journey—rewrite your life story to one of greater health and happiness
  • Dialogue with the spirit of an illness—letting your health challenges tell you why they have come into your life and how to heal them
  • Traveling to the Future—receiving valuable information from your older self

While Western medicine often sees healthcare as a battle against a disease or injury, Native American tradition holds that true healing comes through dialogue—with our afflictions, our spiritual allies, and our own innate wisdom. With gentle guidance and a rich understanding of tribal medicine, Dr. Mehl-Madrona offers you essential practices for tapping into the resources of the spirit world with Native American Healing Meditations.

very disappointing

I am very disappointed I purchased this. It is impossible to go into a deep journey and meditate with the continuous chatter and story telling throughout the entire c.d. He literally never stops talking. It has the opposite effect than what is intended.

Review for Native American Healing Meditations

Nice tape - took mi back to the '70's and all the teachings I've been receiving from a number of Native American medicine people, such as Sun Bear, Oshanna Fast Wolf, etc. Somehow I expected a less basic level of teaching, especially since it's also coming from a psychotherapist. He has a nice, melodious voice which, I am sure, plays an important role in his healing sessions.

I enjoy this teacher so much. His naturalness, his sense of humour. He has a spark. So lovely to find divine connection with such ease and humour and lightness.Thank you for recording him.
