The Cosmic Christ

Digital goods limited to 1 product per purchase
An exploration of the mystery of incarnation and the meaning of the Resurrection.
Full Description

In this teaching, Fr. Richard gives profound insight into the nature of the historical Jesus and what the resurrected Christ really means. We are reminded that the material and spiritual worlds are part of the same universal reality. As the Body of Christ, we are all called to participate in relationship with the Divine Trinity.

Fr. Richard uses plain language to make this life-changing view accessible:

“We are created in the image and likeness of God. This dignity from God is never taken back from God’s side. It’s an eternal covenant.”

“The anointing that has been given to Christ has been given to us. That’s why Jesus said, ‘Follow me.’ We have to walk the same journey.”

“When we say that we believe in Jesus and Christ, we include absolutely everything, the historical Jesus, creation, and ourselves.”

“Only the Spirit can teach us that this is true.”

This presentation was originally a weekend conference held in Houston in December 2008.

About Richard Rohr

Fr. Richard Rohr is a globally recognized ecumenical teacher bearing witness to the universal awakening within Christian mysticism and the Perennial Tradition. He is a Franciscan priest of the New Mexico Province and founder of the Center for Action and Contemplation (CAC) in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Fr. Richard's teaching is grounded in the Franciscan alternative orthodoxy—practices of contemplation and lived kenosis (self-emptying), expressing itself in radical compassion, particularly for the socially marginalized.

Fr. Richard is the author of numerous books, including Everything Belongs, Adam’s Return, The Naked Now, Breathing Under Water, Falling Upward, Immortal Diamond, and Eager to Love: The Alternative Way of Francis of Assisi.

Fr. Richard is academic Dean of the Living School for Action and Contemplation. Drawing upon Christianity's place within the Perennial Tradition, the mission of the Living School is to produce compassionate and powerfully learned individuals who will work for positive change in the world based on awareness of our common union with God and all beings. Review for The Cosmic Christ

I love everything Richard Rohr writes. He opens my eyes to see the world around me and helps me to remember to look inward to the God within.
