A new model of development illuminates the deeper consequences of our social interactions.
Full Description

From a Founder of Interpersonal Neurobiology, Breakthrough Teachings about Human Development and Healing

If you think your mind and your brain are one and the same, think again. According to interpersonal neurobiology pioneer Daniel J. Siegel, the mind actually emerges out of the interaction between your brain and your relationships.

Now, on The Neurobiology of "We," Dr. Siegel invites you on a journey to discover this revolutionary new model of human development—one that can positively transform trauma, move you from stress to calm and equanimity, and promote well-being for you, your family, or even your community.

The Triangle of Human Potential

After 30 years of working with patients and synthesizing scientific research from nearly a dozen diverse fields, Dr. Siegel developed a cohesive, innovative new framework for human potential: the triangle of the mind, brain, and relationships.

Beginning with accessible definitions of each element, he deconstructs the inner workings of this dynamic triad and lucidly explains the intricacies of our neurobiology. "By knowing where energy and information flow in your nervous system—literally cerebral sections and neural connections—you can use the power of your mind to transform your life," explains Dr. Siegel.

Whether you're a spouse seeking a closer relationship with your mate, a mental health practitioner wanting to help a patient heal trauma, or anyone interested in the fascinating process of personal growth, you'll discover how this powerful model can shape—and re-shape—every aspect of your social and emotional development.

Integration: The Key to Unlocking Optimal Health and Well-Being

From everyday stress to severe trauma, the obstacles to optimal health can be overcome through what Dr. Siegel calls "integration"—or linkage of differentiated parts. On The Neurobiology of "We" you will learn Dr. Siegel's nine approaches to healing and transformation including Consciousness, Memory, Vertical and Bilateral Integration, and other practical ways to enhance your life. Through these methods, you will gain insights to help balance and heal your brain, realize the deeper consequences of your social interactions, and "open to the very heart of well-being."

Course objectives:

  • Promote well-being in ourselves and our relationships
  • Learn the nine approaches to healing and transformation
  • Conduct an AAI
  • Practice sharing in relationships
  • Define how consciousness can be used to promote integration

I don't know how to keep it going. I have to reopen my phone every couple of minutes to keep listening.

Revolutionary Science in common "speak"

This is the type of audiobook that you'll find yourself listening to again and again. It's the kind of information that should be mandatory for anyone who has contact with children.

It's a manual on what it REALLY means to be human. It's made me think much more deeply about the people I surround myself with and how they are affecting my nervous system. (and visa versa)

Be prepared for a massive paradigm shift;that's equally empowering and inspiring.

There are also many well balanced personal anecdotes with the hard science to back up his findings.

I can't stress enough that this should be mandatory reading for every parent, guardian and teacher.

Review for The Neurobiology of "We"

I have tried to read Dan Siegel and get bogged down in the complexity. This was a great easy to understand to apply to my life and practice as a therapist.
